http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/george-zimmerman-threatens-kill-driver-road-rage-incident-police-article-1.1937738 NY Daily News- George Zimmerman, who once shot dead an unarmed teen, threatened to kill another driver during a road rage incident in central Florida this week, police say.“Do you know who I am?” the 30-year-old asked the man, identified by police as Matthew Apperson, during the incident Tuesday in Lake Mary, Fla., the driver told cops. I mean, the first rule of an acquitted criminal is to not threaten to do the same thing again, right? . I'm no expert on felonies, but something tells me that is a dangerous path to go down. If you shoot a teenager dead and somehow get off scot-free, maybe hold your tongue with the gun references when someone's going a little hard on the in-vehicle karaoke.
I don't know exactly what happened the night Trayvon Martin was shot. Truthfully, there is only one person alive that does. However, that person is clearly a psychopath. Up until now, I could see both sides of the argument. I was Team Trayvon, but I could see his role in the altercation as well. Zimmerman was following the teen for no reason other than he was a black kid in a hoodie, and it was ultimately his fault any confrontation happened in the first place. However, its not out of the realm of possibility that Trayvon got overly aggressive when he spotted a creepy old spanish dude with a hero complex following him in the dark. I think that would be enough to put me on the offensive. Anyway, if this story is indeed true it kind of means Zimmerman has a short temper and is completely irrational. I mean, we kind of already knew this from the Trayvon incident. We are talking about a man who is EX-neighborhood watch that called 911 46 times for nonemergency reasons in the last 10 years. I have only called 911 once in my life. It was when I was like 12 and thought I was being funny in the park with my friends. The cop reamed me out for being a dumb ass, and rightfully so. Well when a grown ass man does it, on a seemingly obsessive level, you would think it says a little something about what it going on in his otherworldly brain. Is there a statute of limitations on things like this? Can we call for a retrial? I mean, its pretty clear Zimmerman loves his guns now. Can we save a few more lives by admitting defeat on this? If he is threatening to shoot some one over doing a live Beyonce impression in their car, it's only a matter of time before he strikes again. The man has an itchy trigger finger and the common sense of a toddler next to a lit stovetop. Pretty much the last thing I would think if i saw someone waving their finger in their car in front of me is that I need to shoot them. Even if I thought it was directed at me I would probably just mutter some expletives under my breathe and move on. I kind of get the impression that the next person to not say 'thanks' when Zimmerman holds the door for them is getting one in the jugular. Maybe a couple in the torso for not passing the salt in a timely manner? Total loose cannon. Wildcard city. I demand a retrial. P.S. It's pretty bad that Zimmerman's go to move is to shoot people. I guess it makes sense. When a 17 year old beats you bloody then you probably don't want to end up in too many more fist fights.

I am well aware that 70% of people that read that title are loading up on their Kanye West ammunition. Before you do so, let me be clear. Kanye West is definitely a bad person. There's about 300 reasons why he is a bad person. It's just that this doesn't happen to be one of them. Yeah, on the surface it sounds awful. But let's stop trying to throw Kanye under the bus at every turn. Give him a few minutes and he will likely do it himself. The reason that I have ZERO issue with this is because everyone has done something like this before. I go back to my childhood. About 10 years old in the resort pool at Disney. This little girl kept bumping into me. In my infinite wisdom I decided to use my unrefined wit to declare to a family friend my thoughts on the matter. "What is this girl retarded?", I proclaimed. A little too loudly, might I add. Her father, who happened to be within earshot decided to let me know that she was, in fact, not retarded but rather very, very blind. So yeah, excuse me if I sympathize with Mr. West here for a minute. He didn't know they were handicapped, even Kanye isn't that much of social misfit. This is a classic mixup. Ya know when you make the "your mom" joke with someone you hardly know and that person's mom is dead? Completely unintentional, and utterly embarrassing. Just bad timing all around. Every person on this planet has chosen an awful time to be liberal with their word choice. Chances are you didn't do it in front of thousands of people on a stage, but to each his own. Should Yeezus be singling out people in the crowd? Eh, probably not. However, have you ever been to a concert that lacks full crowd participation? Fact is, it sucks. I'm not saying handicapped people shouldn't go to concerts, but they shouldn't get upset when people don't realize they are handicapped. Just ask Larry David… Sidenote: Is there any awkward situation that doesn't have a corresponding "Curb Your Enthusiasm" clip? Fuck.And.No.
Was Kanye sympathetic about the situation? No. Not really. Saying "Unless you got a handicap pass and you get special parking and shit" probably wasn't the most eloquent way to put it. In fairness though, he did give them an out. He didn't demand that handicapped people stood up. You just had to let him know you were in a wheelchair, is that so hard? Simple miscommunication. When you open your mouth and embarrass yourself on such a grand scale it is tough to think of the right thing to say in the moment. I'm pretty sure 10 year old me just muttered "uhhhh sorry". Plus, he has other things to worry about in that moment, like putting on a live show for thousands of people. In his mind...entertainment of thousands is greater than the feelings of a few. I think I agree. Sometimes you gotta go quantity over quality. Especially when you are Kanye West, and everyone already thinks you're a dick regardless. I have been to plenty of Kanye shows. I am a fan of his music. Don't crucify him over a simple mistake. Wait a few minutes for him to go into his inevitable 30 minute rant about politics, fashion, and all things Kanye...then crucify him. There are so many things to hate Yeezy for, so let's not stretch the truth to make him sound worse than he is. He doesn't need the help. I should have known. A demoralizing Rutgers loss followed by the harshest of hangovers. I literally got in the shower with my shirt on yesterday morning. That's how devastating this weekend had already been. All I wanted was a Saints win. Preferably a comfortable one, but who was I to get picky. I should have seen it coming. There are two teams the Saints inexplicably have difficulty with. The Browns and the Rams. I don't know why. It doesn't make sense. However, this time I thought things would be different. I thought our lord and savior would step up and make a play when a majority of the Saints roster had decidedly taken the afternoon off. I thought after botching the outcome of the Rutgers game, good God Almighty would step up and bring a little cheer to my Sunday. I thought a lot of things yesterday. Safe to say I was wrong. I have defended Sean Payton pretty much throughout his entire career as the Saints head coach. Easily the best head coach in franchise history and an offensive wizard. Yesterday, as has been the case multiple times in the past, he was waving his wand a little recklessly and it cost his team dearly. I don't like to complain about play calling in football. I know these guys know far more than I do. However, when the play calling borders on insanity I have to, at the very least, say so. How many times is Sean Payton going to wax poetic about how important the run game is before he actually gives it a chance to work. I know the majority of people think Mark Ingram is a bust, but he has been absolutely on fire since the last few games of 2013. At one point in the 3rd quarter yesterday he had 8 carries for 77 yards. For those mathematically incompetent , thats roughly 9.5 yards per carry. Every time he touched the ball he was getting at least 4-5 yards. Why he decided to come out in the shotgun with an empty backfield time after time is beyond me. The passing game was non existent for a majority of the first half. Even when he did decide to run the ball, he would follow it up by going 4-5 receivers wide, leaving no illusion of the run. The absolute reckless waste of timeouts is also a cause for concern, seeing as it almost cost them a chance for points before the end of the half. I'm not dumb enough to be calling for his head, But maybe it's time to turn the play calling over to Pete Carmichael who orchestrated the Saints record breaking offense in 2011 when Sean Payton had to coach from upstairs while injured. It also wouldn't be fair to only blame the coaching. The first half yesterday was as poor a showing from the Saints that I have seen execution wise. Not blocking, dropping passes, not tackling. It was downright hard to watch. Stunning first half performance after dropping a nail biter in the first game of the season. Jimmy Graham and Drew Brees gift wrapped 7 points for the Browns once the offense finally started moving the ball, and Patrick Robinson took a break from not covering anyone ever to take a mystifying offsides penalty on a missed field goal. That led to another 3. Those were just the highlights of a dreadful half of football. While the team did pick up their play drastically at the end of the half and into the second half, you can't be spotting inferior teams 10 point leads because you decide to come out flat. The team did play lights out in the second half, but still managed to botch a 3rd and 5 which would have gave them the opportunity to add crucial points and run vital time off the clock late in the game. Also, with little time remaining, a defense that was supposed to rival last years top 5 finish, let Brian fucking Hoyer jam the ball down their throats like he was starring in a porno. Absolutely unacceptable. No pass rush, couldn't cover anyone for more than 2 seconds, just despicable. For all I can tell, the Saints vaunted free agent signing, Jairus Byrd, is being paid to play with his dick and make tackles 30 yards downfield. It's not fair to put it on one guy though. Especially one that missed most of the offseason recovering and is still getting used to the system. Plus, all the defensive players as a whole have been equally bad. Whatever. Now the Saints are 0-2 with quite possibly the most talented roster they have ever had. A year where they were supposed to be legitimate Super Bowl contenders is now on the brink of deterioration just 2 games into the season. All is not lost, This is still a very talented team that can beat anyone when they decide to show up. But not leaving themselves much room for missteps down the line is genuinely concerning. One time I needed a win. Just one fucking time boys. Thanks for nothing. ….And now Ingram is out a month with a hand injury…. Fuck. Anyone know a good therapist? What the fuck is going on in this picture? I watched it happen live last night and I honestly still can't explain it, but let me try my best. This picture was taken after Gary FUCKING Nova had thrown 4 interceptions and somehow, SOMEHOW, still not thrown the game away completely. To be honest, it looks like he's shooting a fadeaway jumpshot. A one legged, fadeaway pass surrounded by 3 defenders. Not a recipe for success. The odds go down drastically when it occurs 7 fucking yards past the line of scrimmage. Passing the ball past the line of scrimmage is so goddamn stupid that they won't even let you attempt it in video games. They figure why waste a button on the controller when no one would be dumb enough to use it. Essentially I am saying that an 8 year kid playing Madden is smarter than Gary Nova. At the very least has better decision making skills. Even the Rutgers radio announcers were speechless after the play. People who are paid to make comments on everything didn't know how to explain the irrationality of the play. Today, I am a woman scorned. A battered wife, if you will. Like most young adults, I have been in bad relationships before. However, none of them, on my laundry list of bad decisions, come close to the 4 year on again-off again relationship I have shared with Gary Nova. Textbook terrible relationship. We all know how it goes. The person has some redeeming qualities, but generally the cons outweigh the pros. Something about them makes you stay, although you know you shouldn't and it is just a matter of time before they break your heart. As the saying goes, "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me". What that saying doesn't answer is what if you fool me 37 times? That's the point I have gotten to. Watching Nova run 3 miles past the line of scrimmage then launching a pass to no one was the equivalent of walking in on a significant other who you are skeptical of. You're pretty sure it is gonna happen at some point, but it's always surprisingly painful when it does. People claim that you can't know what it is like to be in an abusive relationship unless you have been in one. I completely agree. Everyone is making a big deal about the Ray Rice situation while I am here getting my heart spit on by Gary Nova. I would much rather be Janay Rice than me today. I would take Gary Nova knocking me unconscious in an elevator 100 times out of 100 rather than watch him play quarterback in a big spot. Wouldn't even think twice about it. Give me physical pain over emotional pain every day and twice on Saturday's. This isn't the last time I am going to have to endure it either. Clearly Gary Nova has naked pictures of Rutgers Coach Kyle Flood. It's either that or every backup quarterback is color blind. It is a minor miracle that someone as consistently inconsistent as Gary Nova has started at quarterback for the better part of 4 years at the D1 NCAA level. Truthfully, it feels like its been a decade, and the results have probably taken a solid decade off my lifespan. I graduated college 5 years ago, and I have senioritis. I need this year to end. I need Gary to move on to better things. Or just different things, for that matter. I hope Gary disappears into the wind never to be seen again. It's like when you delete your ex from Facebook or Instagram. You just want to forget their existence and never have those all too familiar feelings again if you happen to pass them on the street. If Gary Nova disappeared tomorrow there might be 3 people in the world that would actually be out looking for him. And I can say with 98.5% certainty that none of those people would be from the Rutgers football team. On second thought, every single defensive back on opposing Big Ten teams would probably be out looking for him. Gary Nova is the human embodiment of herpes. He is always there. Sometimes he's not that bad, but when he is you are always surprised at how awful he can be. Rutgers recruiting should be chocked full of quarterbacks. The man that follows Gary as the starting quarterback of this team is going to have the easiest job in the world. The bar is so low. If he is a mediocre game manager Rutgers fans everywhere will be verbally sucking his cock at every turn. Hayden Rettig, transfer from LSU, is able to play next year. I have already convinced myself that he is the next Joe Montana. It helps me to keep from crying during bleak moments like Saturday night. He doesn't have to be though. All he has to do is not throw 5 fucking interceptions in a big game. I am convinced that I could do that. I probably also wouldn't have more than 5 completions, but I sure as hell wouldn't have 5 picks. To speak to that point, If Gary Nova completed one more pass on 3rd and 6 with 3 minutes left I am writing a blog about how Gary Nova is a hero. That's not even a joke. The bar is so low that I would be bowing before the feet of a quarterback with 4 picks who just happened to win the game by blind, dumb luck. One day removed it is hard for me to say what is a stronger emotion. My hatred of Gary Nova or my empathy for every other rostered player on Rutgers. Everyone else battled their ass off last night. The widely criticized defense had 5 sacks and held a great quarterback to 6 points through 59 minutes of play. Make no mistake, Rutgers' quarterback play is the sole reason they lost that game, and every other player deserved to be celebrating a win into the wee hours of the morning last night. Instead, they had to be in the same locker room as a player responsible for a loss in the biggest game of their careers….while I was outside pounding depression beers. Sidenote: I came to the realization last night that there is only one outcome of my teams' sporting events that doesn't make me want to get bombed. That's a tie. If my team wins a game it's supposed to win, I want to celebrate. If my team loses a game it's supposed to win I want to drink until I don't feel feelings, and my team is always supposed to win. That's a fact. Also, absolutely nothing gratifying about loser beers. It's like pre gaming freshman year of college, except it takes longer and you always regret it the day after. People that know me know that I have gone above and beyond in my support of Nova this offseason. Unfortunately, the "Come On Gary"/COG campaign has come to an end. I can't, in my heart of hearts, do it anymore. I can't be biased for him anymore. I can't be leading ironic campaigns supporting him anymore simply because I know for better or worse he is the quarterback. I just have to stomach the rest of the season, continue to root for Rutgers, and hope the remaining days of Gary go by quicker than expected. Honestly, watching Penn State walk out of High Point Solutions Stadium with a win, on what could have been a magical night, didn't hurt as bad as I thought it would. Sad? Yeah. Depressing? Sure. But not nearly as devastating as I would have imagined. Rutgers led 10-0 at halftime and I had a knot the size of Nova's interception numbers in my stomach. Why? Because every true Rutgers fan seen this before. We have been in the big games, wondering if Nova can come through. Different movie, different plot, same ending. Gary Nova is to big football games what Seth Rogan is to comedies, and generally both result in self depreciating hilarity. I liken last night's experience to watching a car drive the wrong way down the highway. It was thrilling, but it was inevitably going to end tragically. It's these moments in life when I realize that, first of all, I am absolutely an irrational sports fan. I care wayyyy too much about the outcome of something I am not personally involved in. Second of all, I don't have any suicidal tendencies. If I had one ounce of suicidal in my blood I would have dove into a swimming pool full of razorblades last night. It's not hard to figure out why it has been awhile since I have been in a serious relationship. It is impossible to maintain a relationship while simultaneously having Gary Nova as your quarterback*. No shoulders should have to endure the brunt of that emotional workload. *worst excuse ever Don't fucking look at me like that. Crocodile tears.
http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2014/09/15/rutgers-ad-julie-hermann-apologizes-for-classless-behavior-during-psu-game/
CBS- “On behalf of Rutgers University and the athletic department, we would like to apologize for the regrettable actions of a handful of Rutgers fans on Saturday that do not convey the message of good, competitive spirit that we look forward to having with our new Big Ten rival, Penn State University. Some of the signage and T-shirts that we have been made aware of were both inappropriate and offensive." Absolutely fucking despise this move by Hermann. Let's be clear. Hermann was hired at the Rutgers athletic director for one reason, and one reason only. Because she's a cut throat bitch that will do anything to form a successful athletic program. I mean that as a compliment. As a female AD she is already behind the 8 ball when it comes to respect. You would be lying if you say otherwise. In a business where she deals with male higher ups almost exclusively she better be as stone cold as a Steve Austin stunner. I don't want her out powdering asses and kissing babies. Give me the Julie Hermann that said it would be 'great' if the Star Ledger went out of business shortly after they laid off 167 people (article below). http://www.nj.com/rutgersfootball/index.ssf/2014/04/julie_hermann_it_would_be_great_if_the_star-ledger_went_out_of_business.html The thing that bothers me about this is that this was not Julie's call. I know it wasn't. This apology came from up top, and is based on the rocky relationship Hermann has with New Jersey newspaper, The Star Ledger. The Star Ledger has made a living off of dismantling every move Rutgers has ever made. While some of the Universities' moves over the last couple years have been questionable to say the least. There is certainly a heavy anti-Rutgers bias within their writing. Was Hermann acting in poor taste when she told a journalism class that she it would be great for the Star Ledger to meet a untimely demise. Absolutely. Was it a statement that was unprovoked? Absolutely not. Hermann is the Rutgers AD, and IT WOULD BE GREAT for the school if the Star Ledger kicked the can. The state of New Jersey already has a bad enough reputation without its main newspaper outlet dragging the State University through the mud at every turn. What she said was calculated, bold, and most of all, TRUE. Thus furthering my implication that, in the most positive sense of the word, Julie Hermann is kind of cunty. So basically now we are apologizing for petty shit, because the Star Ledger doesn't want to hear the truth. Julie Hermann doesn't like The Star Ledger, and thinks newspaper is a dying media. Sorry to offend you guys, but you just laid off 167 people roughly 6 months ago. Not only are you a dying media, but you are one that Julie Hermann has the right to hate. It is in the Universities' best interest, as well as her best interest, to dislike the the bullshit your paper spews on a weekly basis. Saturday was not a day to be criticized, especially by a New Jersey paper. Despite the actions of a few Rutgers fans (and Penn State fans for that matter) the atmosphere in Piscataway was something to behold. It was our first glimpse into what an addition to the Big Ten can do for this school. The stadium was packed and loud, and the entire campus was buzzing. Saturday was easily the best atmosphere the state of New Jersey has ever experienced for a sporting event, and this is a state that hosted the Super Bowl less than a year ago. The money and prestige that the Big Ten conference brings to the University, and thus the State of New Jersey, is the story that should have been covered come Sunday morning. The fact that, despite a loss, Rutgers proved what many thought was impossible, that they will hold their own in their new conference, is also an angle that should have been taken. Boo fucking hoo. A handful of Rutgers students were less than friendly to a fan base that has openly stood by those responsible for a child molestation scandal? Wow, shocker of the fucking century. Despite what some may think, this isn't a New Jersey being 'Jersey" thing. I openly acknowledge that making light of an awful situation isn't the classiest of decisions. Fuck that though, this is major college football we are talking about . In case you have been living under a rock, it is a well known fact that fans of major college football programs are rough around the edges. We're talking bout college kids. If the AD had to apologize for every disgraceful thing I did in college she would have been my own personal publicist. Fact is, It is a very select group of individuals that are being apologized for. I had the chance to purchase a "Beat Ped State" t-shirt while I was tailgating and decided against it, despite how the mere site of it made me giggle. I was at, or around, High Point Solutions Stadium from 10am until game time, and after the game until the wee hours of morning. I was hanging out in the trenches all day and witnessed only a handful of altercations with Penn State fans over the 16 hour stretch I was there. Only a handful of altercations between these two fan bases should be applauded, not ridiculed. It could have been much, much worse. Did Penn State apologize when students took the street last week chanting, disgraced former leader, Joe Paterno's name? Fuck. And. No. You know why? Because Pennsylvania newspapers support their State University. They don't pick apart the actions of the minority (the ones chanting in the street) and claim it as the norm. Let's not act like a Rutgers' student was the first person ever to print a "Beat Ped State" shirt. Get the fuck out of my face. Anyone that truly believes that can go piss in the wind. I'm not sure who the person responsible for posting pictures of people wearing such t-shirts on the Rutgers football Facebook page is , but that should be the only person apologizing. And honestly, so what? It's fucking Facebook. Cry me a river. The pussification of America is alive and well, and this less than sincere apology is proof positive of that. http://deadspin.com/floyd-mayweather-thinks-the-nfl-was-too-hard-on-ray-ric-1632897093 Deadspin- Boxer and serial batterer of women Floyd Mayweather said yesterday that he doesn't think it was fair that Ray Rice received more than the initial two-game suspension, and that the NFL overreacted to video of Rice cold-cocking his fiancée. Oh Jesus H. Christ Floyd. One time in your life, just one time, please shut the fuck up. Money Mayweather came out a few days ago to let the NFL know that he doesn't agree with their decision to suspend Ray Rice indefinitely. Hold on, he's got a point….I think…maybe... Apparently you can't suspend Ray Rice indefinitely because "there's a lot worse things that go on in other peoples' households, it's just not caught on video, if that's safe to say". Tell 'em Floyd. If you give Ray an indefinite suspension what kind of suspension are you going to give someone who rapes their wife, or even kills her. Two games was the right call. Maybe 8 for rape, a full season for murder. Makes sense to me. There's levels to this shit…and Floyd would know. Coming off a two month stint in prison after his very own domestic dispute case, backing Ray Rice is probably the least surprising thing that Mayweather has ever done. Let's be clear Floyd, it's not safe to say. Have a little compassion dude. At least give it a few weeks to blow over. What an interesting situation though. Like if you get locked up for beating your wife shouldn't you be a public advocate against domestic abuse? I feel like you should get in some type of trouble for taking the opposite approach. For instance, If a murderer gets out of prison and his first tweet is about how awesome murder is, you should probably just put him back behind bars. However, this is Pretty Boy Floyd we are talking about. Making fun of Floyd Mayweather is like shooting fish in a barrel. Listen, Floyd has always been a grandiose dick. No secret about that. But after 50 Cent let the world know that Floyd Mayweather can't read (in HILARIOUS fashion) it makes everything he says one million times more arrogant. I don't know about you, but every time Floyd says anything ridiculous now I have the exact same response. I hear that same line from 'Billy Madison' every single fucking time…"Kid can't even reaaad". How about this Floyd? Read me the first three lines of this blog and I will start to take you seriously. I don't even understand how someone lives without the ability to read. Telling someone they can't read is a DEVASTATING insult when you are like 10 years old…Floyd is 37! Even when he was going back and forth with 50 on twitter he was really just telling someone in his crew what to type, right? Best mental image ever. Floyd just SCREAMING at his boy. Or maybe he has one of those things that types the words you say, and gets like 85% of them wrong anyway. He legit can't go anywhere alone. Is there an app that you can point at a word and your phone reads it to you? Is that a thing? Did I just create an app and solve illiteracy in this country? Got to be awful to be friends with Floyd, right? Besides him paying for everything obviously. Absolutely has to be the most inconvenient friend ever. Can't spell shit right in his texts, can't read your texts. Texting with Floyd is like texting with a girl after she left her first frat party. You probably have to read the menu to him at restaurants like a goddamn toddler. You know when you go to a fancy foreign restaurant and have zero idea what it is you are looking at? That's a little glimpse into Floyd's entire life. Anyway Floyd, try not beat anymore women, or advocate doing so. Also, generally speaking, if you have to ask "is that safe to say?"…it's not. Ya gotta feel for Paul George. Tough, tough summer. Goes overseas to represent our country and snaps his leg in half, right through the skin. Brutal to watch. However, a guy that can't even wait until a playoff run is over to plunder his teammates' wife is not whose opinion I am looking for on serious matters. I'm sure there wasn't much schooling going on during your two years at Fresno State, but you should have picked up on the fact that hitting women is wrong, regardless of the situation. Here's what Paul had to say on the Ray Rice situation… I don't even understand what he's talking about. If you hit a woman that is attacking you that's not beating her? Pretty sure it is. However, thats completely irrelevant. I don't know if Paul and I got different copies of the tape, but Ray Rice was 100% the aggressor in the entire situation. When the first video came out I assumed that Janay Rice was flipping the fuck out in that elevator. I was actually shocked when I saw what happened. Ray spit on her twice, and when she made the slightest motion towards him he knocked her into next Tuesday. Has Paul George ever seen a woman lose her mind? That was as mild a confrontation on Janay's side that I could possibly imagine. Oh, and just a little heads up Paul…In case you ever get caught in that situation. Yes, it is still considered 'beating her'. Oh, and 'coo' has an L at the end of it…..asshole.
As an ex-Ray Rice fan it does suck to see what he is going through. He was a model citizen during his years at Rutgers, and I would like to believe that what happened in that elevator was a one time occurrence. Regardless, it still happened, and it's still awful, and he still deserves every punishment he gets because of it. I realize that some of these athletes are trying to stay in his corner, but you don't have to downplay the significance of domestic abuse to do so. http://deadspin.com/penn-state-students-celebrate-lifted-sanctions-chant-j-1632254408 Deadspin- Earlier today, the NCAA lifted the sanctions placed on Penn State's football program after the Jerry Sandusky scandal. The team will be bowl-eligible and have its scholarships returned. Tonight, Penn State students celebrated by meeting at Old Main, and chanting the late head coach Joe Paterno's name, among other things. You know what? As much as I hate Penn State, I really don't give a fuck that the sanctions were lifted. I don't know why they were lifted. Apparently as "acknowledgement of the universities' efforts". What exactly does that mean? Their efforts not to play in the mud anymore? Listen, I get it, The punishments penalized the wrong people. The scandal had nothing to do with the members of the football team. However, Joe is dead and Jerry is in prison so someone had to pay for decades of corruption and cover up. The reaction to the news, however, is EXACTLY why the sanctions shouldn't have be lifted. The whole fucking university needs therapy. Students lining the streets chanting "Joe Paterno" and "Where's our statue?" Are you fucking serious? If the penalties were to teach the cult of Penn State a lesson then clearly they have failed. There are still Penn Staters out there that truly believe Joe Paterno, the cult leader and 'guiding light' of the university, did nothing wrong. In what world is turning a blind eye to child rape not wrong? Not only did he let it happen, he let it happen in PSU football facilities. It's fucking nuts, there is absolutely no rationale what so ever to continue to have an allegiance to Joe Paterno. You would think he raised all these little fuckers. I'm half surprised they don't call him Daddy. Please tell me. I have to know. What happens on that campus? Do they mix in hallucinogenics in the beer brewing process? Are you required to "drink the Kool-Aid" during orientation? It's like Hitler University over there. How do they convince a majority of their students to follow the teachings of Daddy Joe, despite his obvious involvement in child rape? Your statue is in a landfill you cockbags. It represents children whose lives have been ruined. I would love to have a sit down chat with one of these kids that was out there cheering. I need to hear, with my own ears, their explanation. Paterno himself said he should have done more, the Freeh report clearly shows he knew about Jerry's skeletons way before they were made public. At what point do you say, "Okay, Paterno was a terrible person, but I still love my college." That's all I need to hear. The fucking gall of these kids. You give them their team back, and they instantly make you want to take it away again. At what point do we just napalm the entire university and the area surrounding it. Genocide of Nittany Lion nation is clearly the only answer. Their parents have to have disowned them right? My future children are welcome to attend Penn State if they so choose *, but the second they mention Joe Paterno's name in a positive light they are spending the foreseeable future in a wheelchair. *to pay their entire way through college, and find a new father I understand being loyal to your college or university. When former Rutgers basketball coach Mike Rice was caught on tape throwing basketballs at players and calling them "faggots" I didn't think it was that big of a deal. However, you can't just blindly justify every transgression that takes place just because you went to school there. Ray Rice is the biggest professional star in Rutgers' history. Easily responsible for the two biggest wins in school history. The second I saw the first tape of him dragging his future wife's lifeless body out an elevator I tossed my Ray Rice jersey right in the trash. It's called being a fucking human being. The people you choose to support and associate with say a lot about you. So when you are standing in the street cheering for a man who is known for a pedophilia scandal you might as well be holding a 'I <3 Little Boys' sign. Let's make no mistake about it. Joe Paterno's legacy is that scandal. Maybe not to the morons that still worship him as some sort of hero, but to the rest of the rational thinking public. Usually this is a case where I would say "I hope he dies". Being that he is already dead I wish he had to live longer with those sins on his conscience. I would pay a decent chunk of change to spit in that man's face before they lowered him into the ground to rot for eternity. Go take a look at that piece of shit. Before the scandal broke he just seemed like an old senile fuck. Now when you look at him he looks like the creepiest piece of shit I have ever seen. The biggest surprise in all of this is that that motherfucker wasn't diddling kids himself. Saturday, Around 9am, I will show up to the Rutgers vs. Penn State game. As if I wasn't already fired up enough for it, I now have this recent news to fuel my hate. Call it classless. Call it tasteless. Call it whatever the fuck you want. If you think I am above every Sandusky joke in the book you are sorely mistaken. The 'We Are…' chant is begging for a remix, and I've got bars for days. By the time that game starts my first beer will be but a distant memory. Any remaining voice I still have left will be used to publicly shame Joe-Joe's zombies. I fully expect to wake up in either a hospital, a prison, or drifting toward a white light (let a man dream). Regardless of the outcome….. I, however, have no doubt the boys will show up to play, because this Scarlet blood runs deeper than any pedophilia scandal ever could. It's time to bend the Nittany Lions over the barrel and make them pay for the sins of their forefathers. You can have all the recruits you want, because come Saturday, the Scarlet Knights are gonna show you where the wild goose goes…
Child Rape Free Since 1766. Go Knights! Come on Gary! COG Life. So If Goodell doesn't end up resigning then the nfl is basically an untouchable organization, right?9/11/2014 http://deadspin.com/report-nfl-had-copy-of-ray-rice-tape-1633159819 Deadspin- A law enforcement official says he sent a video of Ray Rice punching his then-fiancee to an NFL executive three months ago, while league officers have insisted they didn't see the violent images until this week. The person played The Associated Press a 12-second voicemail from an NFL office number on April 9 confirming the video arrived. A female voice expresses thanks and says: "You're right. It's terrible." Whoa there ol' Rog, caught with the pants down eh? Listen, there's really only two options. Either Goodell saw the tape of Ray Rice knocking his wife to the moon months ago, or he actively choose not to see it. Regardless of what some of the talking heads on ESPN say, regardless of what radio hosts say, Roger knew of the existence of that tape and it was readily accessible to him. He's the fucking commissioner of the goddamn NFL. The fact that he still has a job is a testament to the significant power he holds. No way in hell TMZ got their sticky little paws on it it before Goodell. Really though, Poor Roger. Clearly he had a poor social life growing up. Everyone knows rule #1 of lying is to make up a reasonable lie. Rule #2 is don't lie on a top of a lie. Goodell has created a whole clusterfuck of lies now, know of which are believable. He's really backing himself into a corner. Ya know those times when someone is lying to you, but you get to keep asking them questions and watching them squirm? Probably the best feeling ever. Well multiple the joy of that by 1,000 when you are watching the arrogant, pompous commissioner of the NFL do so. To be fair, I am biased, but it doesn't change the fact that Roger is lying through his teeth. Two short years ago Roger Goodell ripped an entire season away from the Saints. A season which they were destined to a contender in the prime of Drew Brees' career. BountyGate, was a Goodell special. Make an example out of a team, based on little-to-no hard evidence. I don't claim that there wasn't some money exchanging hands somewhere along the line, but it was blown drastically out of proportion. Wait for it, this is where it gets good… Roger Goodell claimed that Sean Payton was to be suspended for the year not based on the bounties, but based on the fact that he presumably lied about the bounties. In fact, what he said was… "Ignorance is not a suitable defense." Roger Goodell, 2012. Weirrrrd, it seems the shoe is on the other foot, how did that get there? Silly Roger. If ignorance is not a defense then it seems that you have no real defense at all. If the tape reached your office, which many sources have on good authority that it did, how did the man in charge of said office not see it? Hypocrisy at it's finest. But do the similarities end there? Fuck. And. No.
Roger Goodell has launched an independent investigation, led by an ex FBI director, that will be overseen by NFL owners John Mara and Art Rooney. So if I am reading this right, Goodell is having two guys that make a lot of money because of him oversee an investigation on his office? That seems logical. That would kind of be like me hiring a private investigator to follow me, no? What the fuck is going on. I swear the NFL just does what it wants and listens to no one. Goodell led an internal investigation two years ago for BountyGate, which turned up all of zero hard evidence. Yet, the suspensions still came. I don't even think Roger knows what the word 'investigation' means. It's just his way of saying 'we will do what we want and you can't do shit about it'. I almost kind of respect how little he cares. He has just shrugged off every difficult question that his been asked of him with some ridiculously vague answer. If Goodell had to tell the truth my one question for him would be "what the fuck did you think was going to happen?" It's 2014, c'mon mannnnn. Every video gets out sooner or later. The altercation took place in a casino. Everyone knows thats everything that happens in a casino is caught on tape. You thought if you just ignored it it would all go away. Be smarter Rog, Be smarter. All you had to do was watch Rice knock out his wife and suspend him indefinitely. That's it. That's all. The attention would be solely on Ray Rice, instead of you having to find some impossible way to cover your own ass. Were talking about a player that dragged his motionless wife out of an elevator, and you have somehow made yourself the bad guy. I have no idea how Roger Goodell keeps his job. I really don't understand how he, or the NFL, can justify it. Any other business and the man in charge would have bit the bullet days ago. The sad thing is I am 90% sure he IS going to keep his job. The NFL really is an unstoppable force. |
