Now I realize it's a distinct possibility that Byron Scott has been mentally absent in the Lakers locker room for so long that he doesn't realize that Nick Young has never actually been anywhere "mentally". I also realize that this decision doesn't mean all that much considering that Nick Young has been inactive since March 8th anyway. That's why I am not going to do what it appears Byron Scott is trying to get me to do, and that is feel bad for Swaggy P.
As far as I am concerned, no one in this story deserves sympathy. D'Angelo Russell is a childish moron that probably needs his teeth kicked in. Swaggy P is a 30 year man-child that got busted after cheating on his girlfriend. Iggy Azalea is a pop star that willingly entered into a long term relationship with someone named SWAGGY FUCKING P. I don't have an ounce of compassion for a single character in this melodrama. I understand that professional athletes are quick to be unfaithful, and the way it all went to shit is less than ideal, but when you are running around fucking teenagers chances are you're going to get caught sooner rather than later. D'Angelo Russell still deserves a lion's share of the criticism, but that doesn't mean I am not saving some for the most asinine couple in pop culture history. I just can't - in good conscience - act like I commiserate with some dude because he's heartbroken when it was his actions that inevitably allowed this whole disaster to take place. I guess what I am trying to say is that this is a "fuck D'Angelo" story, not a "poor Swaggy P" story, so I could really care less that he's sitting in the locker room feeling bad for himself.
