No. No, no, no. No moral victories. Not this year. Not any year, as a matter of fact. Were there positives that the Clippers took away from their game against the Warriors last night that the Grizzlies couldn't take from their game against the Warriors a few nights ago? Obviously. Not too much optimism is birthed from a 50 point drubbing. However, the optimism that can be taken away from a 4 point loss certainly isn't noteworthy enough to use against other teams. Be better Clippers twitter. At the end of the year no one is going to be talking about November point differentials. By then they will simply be numbers in a loss column. Numbers that were inflated at the hands of the defending World Champs. Losses that can tell you a lot about your team, but don't give you the right to talk about what they might mean to another team. Come on Clips. You're too good for this. True championship contenders don't concern themselves with those below them, they concern themselves with the people above them. Stop dropping dynamite in the gutter and start taking shots at the thrown. When you have a roster as formidable as the Clippers that's the only way to get better. Would the 7th grader who gets bullied rather, in turn, bully the 6th grader, or does he want to get strong enough to make it a contest with the 8th grader? Champions see the big picture. For the Clippers that picture can't be achieved with contentment, and it has to be captioned "championship or bust".
