BustedCoverage- Beyonce’s Super Bowl 50 halftime show stirred up quite the controversy with her nods to the “Black Lives Matter” movement and Black Panthers. But one person who isn’t caught up in all that drama is everyone’s favorite “First Take” host, Stephen A. Smith.

In fact, Stephen A. was on “The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz” Friday and said he was so caught up with Queen Bey’s figure that he didn’t realize the tributes at all:

“I had no idea whatsoever, I’m not gonna lie to you. I’m totally, totally a victim of this. When I see Beyonce, my eyes are totally on Beyonce and I’ll just leave it at that. I didn’t pay any attention to all that other stuff that was going on. Honest to God I didn’t know it. I saw that outfit, I saw those moves, I saw that figure and I was transfixed on that.”

Annnd we are live via satellite with Stephen A. Smith on what he thinks of those upset with Beyonce...

There you have it folks. The ultimate sign that you are trying too hard to find something to bitch about. When you are watching the same broadcast as Stephen A. Smith and he doesn't even notice something that you see as racially divisive. Honestly, if the most opinionated loud mouth on sports television doesn't see a tribute during the Super Bowl as a race issue then it's not a fucking race issue. I watched the halftime show. I know Beyonce mentioned the 'Black Lives Matter' movement and 'The Black Panthers', but I only know that because of the ridiculous backlash that followed. I couldn't tell you what she was saying during her performance, because who gives a shit what she was saying during her performance? We are talking about the Super Bowl here. The ultimate spectacle. She got the crowd riled up and she looked hot in the process. That's literally all that matters. Dissecting her message -whether it was subtle or not- while she was doing so is completely unnecessary. Beyonce was put in a position to entertain and entertain is exactly what she did. She didn't show up to a political rally in a leather jacket and tilted beret threatening reciprocated violence against the police force. She made mention of a historical cause that most rational, fun-loving people weren't even fucking paying attention to anyway. Whether it was right or wrong for her to choose that stage to give her agenda a slight shove is just as irrelevant as the assholes that were seemingly concentrated on getting offended by it.
