Not sure what's weirder.
This moment, or the fact that the Suns' mascot is a gorilla.

Siggggh, this video was just so much better without context. I suppose at some point we had to find out there was a legitimate reason why the Suns' mascot left it all out on the hardwood in the middle of an offensive possession during the 4th quarter of a tightly contested game, but it was a much funnier clip without knowing that he was just retrieving his stupid drum stick. Oh well, just another case of facts and due diligence ruining what could have been the ultimate mystery regarding an ape that wouldn't have been able to break character to explain himself without breaking kids' hearts. They say if you keep digging long enough then eventually you'll find something that you don't like, and that's how I feel about 'Go' (lazy ass name for a Gorilla mascot) cleaning up his toys. It makes a lot more sense than him becoming overwhelmed with adrenaline and cutting through the lane during a pick-and-roll, but it's not nearly as entertaining of a narrative. I'll always have that original joy I felt watching a random primate slide into the key out of nowhere, but it was undoubtedly compromised by the childish backstory.
