Manziel wants to be a Cowboy? Kaepernick wants to be a Jet? Well, I want to be backup quarterback for the Saints. I know what you are thinking, who cares what I want? You have a point, but I didn't think we cared about what bad quarterbacks wanted until now so I am just trying to get in while the getting is good. Is this the way sports work now? Is up actually down? Is left actually right? I thought there was a direct correlation between a player's talent and the amount of control he has over his career. I didn't know that sucking your way into your ideal situation was an option. I can't believe more quarterbacks haven't tried this in the past. A bunch of subpar signal callers just signing to whatever team would offer them a short term contract to further extend their career. Ha! Idiots! Why depend on teams to want you when you can just tell them that they need you? It's all about confidence. That's how ugly guys get attractive girlfriends, and it's how crappy quarterbacks get a roster spot on the team of their choice. All you have to is convince the talent evaluators that they are the one's overachieving and it doesn't matter if your touchdown to interception ratio resembles the chapter and verse of a Bible passage. That's easier said then done, but apparently there is more than one quarterback in the the NFL that is prepared to take on that challenge.
This is actually our fault. We assumed that Manziel and Kaepernick took economics during their time at their respective universities. Why should they understand the concept of supply and demand when the only supply they were worried about was booze and the only demand they had was for more pussy? They shouldn't be expected to know that the demand for bad quarterbacks is at an all time low, and the supply is at an all time high. They shouldn't be expected to know that that creates a severe decline in value. Poor bastards didn't realize they had to study when they were working towards a career in professional athletics, and now that lack book smarts has them looking like idiots for trying to handpick their employer with unqualified resumes.
