The worst thing they can say about a President is that he didn't fulfill his campaign promises to his many constituents. So as much as people want to criticize Barack Obama for every less than optimal thing that has happened during his tenure, they can't do so without recognizing that the American brewing industry and the USA hockey program have flourished on his watch, and that - my friends - is a change I can believe in... Call it a coincidence. Call it happenstance. The fact of the matter is that our pilsners and our puck has been exponentially better over the last 8 years. Like I said when Obama taught us all that the funerals of old white acquaintances are far from an obligation, you can't judge a President on every little decision he makes. Grading a President should be about looking at the culmination of what was accomplished while he was in power. You may not like ObamaCare, but I'm just glad that ObamaCares about keeping our sticks down and our bottoms up. The enhanced pride with which we've been able to both those things ironically correlates with the reign of the first black President, and if that's not a sign of progression then I don't know what is... Sure, Barack Obama was just harmlessly needling a fellow North American leader, but the fact of the matter is that Americans are drinking better than they ever have before. They are currently witnessing the golden years of USA hockey. I know the sport's popularity remains stunted in this country, but just wait until we throw on those red, white, and blue jerseys and start to partake in international competition. That's when we will truly see what Barack Obama has indirectly done for this country, and I'll be damned if we aren't drunk off a traditional American lager when we do.
Cheers Canada. This Bud's for you...
