Just wait. Just fucking wait. There will come a time, and I'm definitely not saying it's now - despite a superb showing during an insta-squad practice against one of the best quarterbacks of all time - but there will come a time when the Saints defense is respectable. When that happens you better believe that Cameron Jordan will get his due as the talent he is on the field and the personality he is off the field. It's gone largely unnoticed because he's been consistently putting up stats for a defense that is completely unfamiliar with stats that don't come at their expense, but Cam Jordan is a force to reckoned with. And when he's not averaging double digit sacks he is doing things to ingratiate himself to fans like signaling the birth of his daughter with a ridiculous GIF and an accompanying pseudo-literate quote from the one and only Jameis Winston. If that's not a sign that the man needs more camera time than I don't know what is.
Hopefully his fellow members of what has been a promising defense throughout camp can finally help him get noticed by breaking tradition and not falling flat on their face come September. It's a tall order, but it's starting to look like it might be coming to fruition. Can't wait until they make me look like a goddamn buffoon for letting that possibility creep into my mind. Oh well, we'll always have Cam Jordan, his undying charisma, and hopefully his happy, healthy baby girl to celebrate in place of a semi-competent front seven.
Love his teammates getting in on the action too...
