Kind of has to turn in his resignation papers now, right? It's either that or he has turn in his black card. I'm not even stereotyping or anything. That guy may very well not even watch the NBA. However, you can't let the company you work for just throw up a picture of any old smiling black man in a sleeveless jersey on the screen when the story is about a different black guy potentially dying. You accept this mixup and there's no telling what kind of rabbit hole you go down. Let this slide and the next thing you know they are just using a decade old picture of Bernie Mack as the default graphic for every story about a black person. Even if this guy isn't mad, he should act mad just so they are more careful in the future. Being the lone black guy at CNN is like being the lone black kid at a middle school in upstate New York. You have to overreact to every single form of prejudice you encounter just so everyone else knows what is right and wrong in terms of race relations. He is responsible for setting that standard. He owes it his fellow African Americans to make sure these completely oblivious caucasians know they fucked up. You give us an inch and we'll take a mile. It's all fun and games when they mix up Lamar Odom and LaMarcus Aldridge, but just wait until they confuse Oprah Winfrey and Whoopie Goldberg. That blood will be on his hands.
