Cris Carter's Son Was Just Responsible For The Most Disrespectful Celebration In Sports History7/1/2016
LBS- Duron Carter was ejected from Thursday’s CFL game between his Montreal Alouettes and the Ottawa Redblacks after knocking over opposing head coach Rick Campbell following a touchdown catch.
On a first and goal play in the third quarter, Carter caught the ball in the end zone between two defenders and was hammered on the hit. The former Ohio State wide receiver hung onto the ball and immediately got up to celebrate. He ran over to the Ottawa bench and went nuts. I don't think there's any level of catch difficulty that gives you the right to get up after a touchdown, immediately run to the opponent's sideline, and put a shoulder into their coach's chest like he just came flying off the ropes. I think we can all agree that this premeditated celebration - that stomped out every ounce of pride on the opposition's sideline - was over the top. Unfortunately, I can't blame the person that imposed his will on someone half his size, because he did exactly what you have to do following such an obvious showing of disrespect. Most players would cowardly duck away in fear of retribution, but he marched right through the gauntlet of men he just emasculated and the way they responded proved exactly why he did it in the first place. When it comes to showboating you only do what you can get away with. For some reason, Duran Carter had the inkling that he could physically "assault" an opposing coach without getting jumped by an army of football players and I'll be damned if he wasn't right. That's why the guilty party is clearly the Ottawa Redblacks. Has a team ever been softer? A wide receiver feels comfortable enough to taunt your entire bench, and only walks away having endured a couple shoves and a slap to the back of the head? Shit, if I knew I could get away that unscathed I would probably do the same damn thing. It clearly didn't work because he got ejected and his team ended up losing, but don't tell me that Duran Carter didn't do enough to get in the other team's head. He gave his team the mental edge, they just didn't know what to do with it. P.S. 15% chance he was immediately concussed by that hit and actually has no fucking clue where he is throughout the entirety of that video.
