Do You Even Have Faith In Your Team If You DON'T Bet $5 That They'll Win The Championship?10/19/2016
Matty Cleveland? More like Matty BELIEVEland, am I right? Was this bet a product of undying faith or a legitimate prognostication? After making a financial commitment that substantial to something that seemed so unlikely to come to fruition, I have no choice but to assume that our boy here had a little inside information. Can't just go tossing around honestly earned Abe's due to nothing more than blind hope. If this kid is just your average, run-of-the-mill fan then we need to get Hollywood to start formulating the script because his bet makes the kid summoning Angels into the outfield just so he could reconnect with his father look like a dismissive pessimist. I mean, this was such a bold gesture that he almost had to brag about it on social media before it was even close to becoming a reality. Some would say that it's a bad omen to brag about gambling success prior to officially having a winning ticket, but I think we can grant this kid a Championship series worth of leniency since he so fearlessly put his money where his heart is. No chance that this premature back-patting backfires so stand on that pedestal Matty. You deserve this moment in the sun. World's greatest Indians fan, and - since no one else can say they mortgaged their entire future in the name of the Tribe - it's probably not even all that close. P.S. Pretty sure the one requirement of running a team's twitter is that you only have positive interactions with the fans, so it says a lot when the person doing so starts chirping their followers mid-Pennant Race with a tweet that roughly translates to "bruh, really?".
