Donald Sterling Is Suing TMZ Because He's A Sore Loser

TMZ- Former Clippers owner Donald Sterling is suing V. Stiviano and TMZ over the recording and publishing of a conversation he had with Stiviano.

Sterling filed the lawsuit Friday in L.A. ... claiming Stiviano "surreptitiously" recorded their convo sometime between September 2013 and April 2014 -- and then either she, or her agents, provided that recording to TMZ.

In the docs, Sterling accuses TMZ of publishing the tape in violation of his privacy rights -- and says, as a result, he's been damaged "on a scale of unparalleled and unprecedented magnitude." He also says Stiviano and/or TMZ doctored the contents of the recording.

The NBA banned Sterling for life on April 29, 2014. Donald and his wife Shelly eventually sold the team to Steve Ballmer for $2 billion. 


As crazy as it sounds, considering how disturbing the tapes of Donald Sterling basically professing his racist agenda were, he might actually have a leg to stand on in this legal dispute. I am not going to sit here and tell you that I know anything about law, and I am certainly not going to it here and defend anything Donald Sterling has ever said. However, I do believe that he may have been done a slight injustice by having his private conversations intentionally recorded for the public. 

With that said, what is the point of filing a law suit if you are Donald Sterling? Generally people file lawsuits in hopes of recovering what they lost or as reimbursement for certain damages. What did Donald Sterling lose? His basketball team? Well, he's not getting that back, but he certainly didn't lose the $2 billion dollars he sold it for. What (very little) was left of his reputation? Safe to say that's not only out the window, but lying dead about 60 floors down from his penthouse office. Give it up Donald. You are possibly the richest racist the world has ever seen. There is no reason to be mad. Sure, you lost your group of mostly black men that you could sell and trade on your own volition, but considering the level of discrimination you portrayed behind closed doors, that was only a matter of time. You still have more money than you can possible spend before you inevitably meet your demise in the next 5 years. Just take your loss like a man and move in. Did that face guard wearing weirdo fuck you over? She sure did, but you were bound to lose at some point anyway. It's like the Indianapolis Colts bitching about DeflateGate. Sure, your opposition may, or may not, have used some shred tactics to beat you, but beat you is just what they did. Except the loss and move on. Just sit back and be the old, prejudice bastard with an infinite net worth, whose name and morals reside in the dirt. After all it could be worse. You could be a famous bigot that doesn't have a 10 figure bank account. 

P.S. Has there ever been two rich, old, white men that were any more polar opposite than Donald Sterling and Steve Ballmer. To be a Clippers fan a year ago you had to actively forget how much of a shit stain your owner was, and now your owner is one of the biggest attractions for a team that is full of them. Donald Sterling watched basketball games like he was watching over his plantation, and Steve Ballmer watches basketball games like the Clippers are his own children. The contrast couldn't be greater, and the Clippers couldn't possible be in better hands.
