Is there such a crime as reckless non-driving? Pretty sure this falls into that category.Even if there isn't I think it's safe to say this woman will face no shortage of charges. Hey, you want to imprison her for drunken driving and endangering the lives of anyone and everyone around her? Have at it, but don't you dare give her a texting while driving ticket. Even that is too unsafe for the person that is completely stopped in the middle of a freeway.
I'm not big on drunken driving, but I am pretty sure the first rule is to attract the least amount of attention as possible, not have 10 people pulled over waving on the side of the road. Then again maybe she was just getting prepared for the eventually police interaction. Do you get a little leniency if you stop yourself, or does that go out the window when you do so without pulling over? You'd have to imagine someone that drunk wasn't getting home without a routine traffic stop. Attack the story before the story attacks you. Might as well go for a walk and get your wits about you. How can you expect to pass a roadside test if you don't get some air and shake the cobwebs off? One foot in front of the other sweetheart, practice makes perfect! Bet once she starts trying to say the alphabet backwards she'll have wished she called for an Uber. Much respect to this news guy. Phenomenal job of getting the story and trying to save her. Sure, he didn't really turn on 'freak out' mode until he got a couple minutes of footage and zoomed in on her face for clarification, but you can't pass up a story when it stops dead in the middle of the highway. To do too much of one and not enough of the there would be either irresponsible reporting or irresponsible humanitarianism. Stay tuned, let's see how this one ended!
