F1 Driver Facing Feminist Backlash For Spraying Podium Girl In The Ear With Champagne

'If this if the case we think Lewis Hamilton should apologise for his actions and think carefully about how he behaves in the future. For most people, it would be apparent that she is not enjoying it.

'It is surely a very difficult position to be a grid girl and she would have had little option but to stand there and take it. That is something of which he should be aware. But instead, he appears to have abused her position.

'It's unfortunate that a great victory has been marred by what appears to be selfish and inconsiderate behaviour.

When did we stop letting adults stand up for themselves. I haven't read a word that said the podium girl was offended or upset. Are we just assuming based on a series of pictures taken? So now feminists groups aren't standing behind anything but their own personal views? If I got sprayed with some champagne during the work day would there be a bunch of radical groups coming to my defense despite my silence? Yeah, I didn't think so. If we're all equal than let's be equal. Every man, woman, or child should stand up for themselves when they catch some unwanted Boone's Farm to the ear. 

What, pray tell, is a podium girl's job description? I think of a podium girl the same way I think of a girl in a rap video. Half of their occupation is to look pretty, and the other half is being drenched in bubbly. Every job has it's pitfalls. You think janitors enjoy picking up garbage? You think strippers like taking their tops off? You think 'In-N-Out' employees enjoy wearing those silly hats? Nope, but they smile regardless, because no matter how painful it is, it's part of their job. Occupational hazard, if you will. Even if they do want to complain about it, which is not the case here, it's not a matter that deserves an apology.

Let's not forget that Lewis Hamilton had just won a race. Sometimes emotions get the best of you in the moment. That's how you end up with athletes cursing into hot mics, or tearing their ACL during a celebration, or unfortunately for this girl, spraying champagne all over anyone within their vicinity. You have an attractive female whose job it is to stand with people who are given a monster bottle of wine while experiencing the highest of highs. There is really only one way that is going to end.
