Raw Story- Fox News Medical A-Team member and resident psychiatrist Dr. Keith Ablow argued on Tuesday that “men should be able to veto women’s abortions.”

“The bottom line is, why would a woman’s right to decide what to do with a frozen embryo trump a man’s right every time?” he asked. “If he wants to bring these embryos to term, good for him. He wants to parent. If he wants to have them adopted, good for him. It’s not a coin toss. It’s whoever wants that potential being to survive. That’s who wins.”

“You know, I’ve been outspoken on this,” the doctor continued. “I think men should be able to veto women’s abortions if they’re willing to care for the child after it’s born.”

I think I have a pretty good idea of what is happening here. First let's take a look at Keith Ablow the person. Looks to me like he a affluent, white, Republican male. Pretty clear to me that he is just jealous of every other demographic of society that has been fighting for equal rights. You got homosexuals fighting for the right to marry. Blacks protesting for equal protection under law enforcement. Females fighting for equal wages. Transgenders fighting for the right to have all the rights. I am not saying any of these people shouldn't be treated as equal, but caucasian males are literally the only people that aren't marginalized in any form or fashion. What are the only things left to fight for when you are a rich white dude, you ask? Well, the right to sing Dr. Dre songs lyric for lyric in public, and the ability to veto an abortion, of course! Keith Ablow just realized that the latter was far more attainable than the former. I am not saying there is any validity to his claim, but I understand his need to be proactive in an increasingly contentious society.

Should men be able to veto abortions? Hell no. Women have the right to do what they wish with their bodies because they are the ones that have to carry a human fucking being in their stomach for nine months. I can't even assume the safety of my phone charger when I carry it out of the house for 9 minutes. If you are the one that has to bear the responsibility of another human life then you are the one that gets to choose if that is a responsibility that you choose to accept. Plus, let's be real. A female egg is far more valuable than a single sperm. Think about how many of those guys get wasted on the daily. If you spend $500 a day then you clearly place less value on one single dollar than someone who spends $20 a day. Same thing with sperm. If you shoot out 10,000 and most of them are directed into a towel, or a tissue, or a shower drain then you clearly don't care enough about the one that gets to the egg to be able to veto it's termination.

Let's not forget, women have abortions for two reasons. They are either too young to care for the child, or don't want the scumbag they slept with involved in the rest of their lives. If we start giving men the ability to veto abortions then women should be given the right to veto fathers. Guys that women perceive as terrible dads are responsible for just as many abortions as immature women. Men already make enough terrible decisions with their dick, they shouldn't be given the right to choose what happens with what comes out of it. Especially irrationally contrarian Republican men who are just looking for something, scratch that, anything to fight for.

P.S. With the state of today's youth we probably shouldn't be promoting single parent households.
