NYMag- George Zimmerman, the Florida man who shot black teenager Trayvon Martin to death in 2012 and was subsequently acquitted of all criminal charges, had his Twitter account suspended on Thursday after he used it to post semi-nude photographs of a woman he identified as his ex-girlfriend.
The photos appeared on Zimmerman’s account along with her name, phone number and e-mail address. He accused the woman of cheating on him with a “dirty Muslim.” His tweets violated Twitter’s policy against posting personal contact information or intimate photos without consent, so his account was shut down in short order. A law criminalizing “revenge porn” went into effect in Florida this October, but a law professor told the Washington Post that Zimmerman’s tweets probably did not violate the law, which requires that the images depict nudity or sexual conduct according to a strict definition that would seem to exclude the semi-nude photos he posted. Indeed, he may have researched the law in order to ensure that his tweets did not violate it. Since being found not guilty in the Trayvon Martin shooting, Zimmerman has been taken into police custody multiple times over allegations of domestic violence. In September 2013, his then-wife Shellie called 911 to say that he had punched her father in the nose and threatened her with a gun; that November, he was charged with aggravated assault, battery domestic violence, and criminal mischief after threatening his girlfriend with a shotgun, shoving her, and breaking her belongings; and this past January, he was arrested yet again for throwing a wine bottle at another girlfriend. While I know that putting someone's private pictures online is wrong, I think we have to sit down and give a little perspective to this story. George Zimmerman, the guy with the authority complex that shot and killed a teenager, and taunted the entire African American community after killing said teenager, got kicked off Twitter for posting a nude. The guy was basically USING Twitter to incite a race war, but it wasn't until after he posted a half naked picture of an ex that his access was restricted? I think it's time we, as a country, start doing a better job of prioritizing who needs to catch the proverbial fade on social media. I'm not saying that this woman's trust, and reputation, weren't compromised by George Zimmerman, I am saying it is absolutely your fault if you put George Zimmerman in a position where he is able to compromise your trust and reputation. This psycho has shown that he is literally capable of anything. Savagely attacking a teen based on his race, GETTING AWAY WITH IT, threatening women, punching fathers. The dude is a loose fucking cannon. Unless these two ended up in the most fucked up marriage of all time, there was a 0% chance those nudes picture weren't getting broadcast publicly at some point. He probably only asked for them in the first place so that he could use them to shame this chick after she dumped his crazy ass. That's how sick in the head he is. I'm not proud of myself for taking George Zimmerman's side on this one. However, if you don't want the whole world looking at your tits then don't date a scumbag whose moral compass is always pointing South. This wasn't some sweet guy that she found online who only showed his true colors when the relationship soured. This is a man who openly embraces being hated. He is essentially famous for being a racist murderer. Maybe don't cheat on that guy with "a dirty muslim" while he's spending the afternoon painting a confederate flag. Never mind a naked picture or two, this broad is lucky she's not dead after going for the dark meat around the holidays. I don't want to say this woman got what she deserved, but if you're going to date a racist then fuck a minority, you're probably better off just saving yourself the headache and posting your own nudes on the internet. P.S. Still think the fact that a Hispanic dude hates all non-white people is somehow supremely underrated. He's like Clayton Bigsby if Clayton Bigsby wasn't just a blind parody of him.
