Oh my God. He's...he's...he's... ::GASP::
ACCLIMATED!!! Maybe Adam Larsson coming into his own and developing into a solid two way defenseman has nothing to do with his ability to sarcastically interact with his teammates on a social media platform, but I have no reason to think that's a coincidence. All those years under Peter Deboer when he was bouncing in and out of the lineup didn't just slow his development, they slowed his adaptation process. Don't forget, this was a defenseman that came into the league - fresh out of Sweden - as an 18 year old kid and was thrown into the fire almost immediately. It's shouldn't come as a surprise that the first extended period of time he was given to get accustomed to playing in the NHL was when he finally started to show why he was selected 4th overall. Now he's a confident player that's not only being trusted, but being depended upon in almost every situation.
Of course now he's going to start showing his personality. Of course now he is going to make fun of Kyle Palmieri's height. Of course now he is going to take shots at Adam Henrique for his racially ambiguous last name. Of course now he is going to needle Jordin Tootoo for - once again - being out of position. We have witnessed the full progression of a wide-eyed mute that was unsure of himself on the ice to one of the best ballbusting young defenseman in the entire league. The transformation is officially complete, and if that's not a great moment in Devils history then I don't know what the hell is.
