Yesssss, now we're talking! Nothing speaks to the "serve and protect" motto like refusing to serve and protect because one person - in a building filled with over 100,000 people - questioned your proclivity to serve and protect everyone equally. If I know anything about being a member of law enforcement it's that maintaining order in situations where you are unwanted by even a single, solitary human being is NOT a part of the job description. Shame on Colin Kaepernick for compromising the security of alllll 49er's fans because he felt the need to bring attention to events that actually took place and undoubtedly jeopardized the peace of mind of African Americans in our country. How selfish of him to back up a widely frowned upon gesture by standing on a podium and intelligently elaborating on his feelings with facts. Doesn't he know how badly the truth hurts? Isn't he aware of how easily those words pierce the thin skin of people who are so adamant about letting nothing effect their ability to perform their societal duty to uphold public safety? Cops have feeling too, ya know? And generally those feelings result in actions that are more becoming of whiney, spoiled children when the ethics of any of their peers are being openly analyzed. God forbid they "go against" the brotherhood of the badge, even if it means they make the person they are protesting against look more justified in his actions than he did when he originally engaged in them.
