If You Were Lamar Odom You Would Suffer A Drug Relapse Too

BSO- According to one report, Odom suffered a drug relapse shortly before his best friend Jamie Sangouthai died from a skin infection that was caused by using dirty needles. Life & Style Magazine claims that Odom and Sangouthai stayed at a Best Western in Los Angeles about three months ago and left behind evidence that suggested they had been using black tar heroin.

One of Odom’s friends reportedly told Life & Style that the former NBA star left for Las Vegas in May and has been “regularly getting high.”

And while he’s assured friends he’ll seek treatment, Lamar’s strange behavior, slurred speech and mood swings are making those close to him increasingly worried. “His friends are scared that he’ll wind up like his friend Bobby Heyward and Jamie,” the pal says.



Remember back in the day when Lamar Odom was living in Los Angeles, winning 6th man of the year, collecting championships, dating a Kardashian, and casually blowing a couple lines on the side? You know, pretty much living the standard life of an borderline NBA All Star? Ahh, those were the days. My, how the mighty have fallen. And when someone has a proclivity for drug use and experiences a dramatic negative life change it lends itself to a relapse. I don't exactly know how hard rehab is, but according to 'Intervention' that shit is extremely difficult. 

Now imagine watching bad NBA teams refuse to inquire about your services (just 4 years after being the bets bench player in the league), while your ex-wife (who you're technically still married to) goes full Kardashian and is running around town with famously bad hip hop stars (French Montana) and NBA thoroughbreds (James Harden). That would drive the average, everyday asshole to drink. Alas, it's all relative, while that might make me or you turn to drinking too much Jack and crying into a pillow, it's makes a known abuser turn to dirty needles and black tar heroin. Lamar Odom just got himself caught up in a life that he couldn't possibly continue to lead, especially being 6 miles past the gateway of drugs and 4 years past his prime. It's almost like a 6'10, off shooting, professional basketball player that revolutionized the versatility of the power forward position was too normal to date a Kardashian. Hell, look at Kanye. He's a goddamned lunatic. A lunatic that is creating a functional (debatable) family with the girl that got famous from being fucked on camera by an R&B afterthought. That's the kind of crazy you need to be able to exist in that environment. Lamar Odom didn't have it, and all the substance abuse in the world couldn't change that.
