Sole Collector- There's no way that 14-year old Daniel Lara could have imagined that wearing a pair of white Vans would make him a worldwide sensation. He and his buddy Josh Holz's "Damn Daniel" meme took over social media last month, landing him a lifetime supply of Vans sneakers. Aware of his good fortune, Lara is using his newfound access to Vans to help others in need.
Recently, Lara and Holz visited Loma Linda University Children's Hospital in California, where they visited with patients and hooked them up with free Vans sneakers. Much respect to Daniel for using his platform to make a difference. Wait. Wait just a damn minute here. The 14 year old kid that looks like an attractive man in his mid-20's, lives in Southern California, has tons of internet fame based on a 30 second video that showcases his buddy's catchy voice, and just got gifted a lifetime supply of free Vans is actually a good person? God-dammmmmmmn-it Daniel. Can't you just have one thing wrong with you? You're not supposed to have it all and be a charitable person that gets satisfaction out of helping the less fortunate. That's not part of the deal. You're making literally EVERYONE else look bad. You're supposed to be a douchey entitled asshole so we can continue to hate to love a video of you awkwardly strutting around school grounds while your friend narrates your wardrobe. Whatever, the good news is that there is nowhere for this kid to go but down because he is currently coming off as the nicest person in the entire world. Let's hope this summer holds an involvement with a sketchy group of neighborhood kids and a potentially serious narcotics addiction. I need a "dammmmmn daniel, back at it again with the white nose" video to make me feel better about where I stand in regards to this whole concept of eternal bliss that everyone keeps preaching about.
