SportingNews- Ronda Rousey is set for her return in a fight against Amanda Nunes at the Dec. 30 event at Madison Square Garden. And in a recent interview with Ellen Degeneres, the MMA superstar said the fight will be one of her last.
“Not that long, I’m wrapping it up,” Rousey said when asked how long she’ll keep fighting. “This is definitely one of my last fights. Everyone better watch, because the show’s not going to be around forever.” Nooooo Ronda, say it ain't so! You can't be semi-alluding to an impending retirement just yet! Not with the all memories you have given your millions upon millions of loyal fans over the past year while nursing the physical and emotional injuries you suffered from by losing. Please don't tell me the "show" that's been scheduled...then rescheduled...then re-re-scheduled...then re-re-re-scheduled is going to potentially get canceled after it's next viewing. What are we going to do without having your repetitive television appearances in which you beg for sympathy and vaguely talk about an unplanned return to the sport that made you famous to look forward to?! I would say that I am already feeling the upcoming withdrawals from not being able to watch Ronda Rousey fight, but I think those are just leftover from the last 12 months when she was battling depression by making appearances in countless motion pictures instead of prepping for the octagon. Either way, it will a sad, sad day when the greatest mixed martial artist to never get over a single loss finally hangs up the gloves that have been collecting dust since last November, so we better make sure we all tune in for her what might, maybe be her final encore performance. Wouldn't want to miss that after all the work she's put in during all those long, hard hours on the set of 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show'.
