It's About Time Kim Kardashian Finally Met Caitlyn Jenner

Mirror- Kim Kardashian West met Caitlyn Jenner for the FIRST time at her Vanity Fair shoot. 

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star has revealed she first laid eyes on her stepparent- who was previously known as Bruce Jenner before undergoing a gender transition - when she attended the cover shoot, Caitlyn's first as a woman.

She told Entertainment Tonight: "It was so beautiful. I actually went to the shoot, and that was my first time meeting Caitlyn.

"She's beautiful, and I'm so proud that she can just be her authentic self. I guess that's what life is about."

Meanwhile, Kim previously spoke out about the family's unfaltering support for Caitlyn.


Can you believe it? All these years later and Kim Kardashian is finally meeting her step-parent. All this time running in the same circle, and being featured on the same television show, and not once did they run into each other. Crazy, really. Almost like it took divine intervention for them not to become aware of each other until they were both accepting of themselves.

I get that calling Bruce by his new name is the politically correct thing to do. I don't mind attaching the pronoun 'she' when discussing all things Jenner. In fact, I get kind of a child-like giggle out of it every time I type it, so sue me. Regardless, can we stop referring to this 65 year old person like they were magically born into senior citizenship yesterday? Kim Kardashian didn't fucking 'meet' Caitlyn Jenner yesterday, she ran into her step-father that now goes by 'Caitlyn'. Say I walked out of my house into oncoming traffic right now and got hit by a car. When my friends came to see me in the hospital they wouldn't be meeting 'Wheelchair Bob', they would just be seeing Bob in a wheelchair. Being down a limb wouldn't make me a different person, and being down a dick doesn't make Caitlyn a different person. Part of being okay with transgenders is accepting that they used to be a different gender, so can we please stop talking like the last half century of existence didn't happen for this person?

Bruce Jenner just became one of the hottest cougars in the world. Same person, just a whole prettier. Maybe that's the whole point. Maybe he just wanted to be pretty. Maybe he just wanted to look in the mirror and give himself the old "fuck yeah, I look good" nod. Wasn't happening looking like a half-dead skeleton motherfucker. What's the downside of throwing on some makeup and getting rid of that pesky dick in your mid-60's? It's not like you're using it anymore. I think I may have just convinced myself to spend my retirement money on a sex change. Hopefully it's still praiseworthy in 40 years.
