Johnny Manziel Was Spotted Smiling IN A Liquor Store

Yardbarker- Johnny Manziel has said nothing publicly since his season ended with a concussion and some wild rumors about a trip to Las Vegas, but don’t worry — the Browns quarterback is said to be doing just fine.

According to a report from the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Manziel was spotted making a purchase at a liquor store in Texas Saturday night. The store manager said the 23-year-old bought a $120 bottle of Don Julio tequila and seemed to be in great spirits.

“He was in a really good mood,” Theresa Swinney said.



Red alert! Red alert! Someone call the authorities! Not only was a 23 year old NFL quarterback buying alcohol in the offseason, but he was actually happy while doing so. Thank God for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. They are really out there doing the Lord's work by letting everyone know the personal shopping habits of a professional athlete. There's only one solution here. Not only does Johnny Football's BAC need constant monitoring, but so does his mood. If he's going to be intoxicated then he better be miserable. Nothing worse than a happy drunk. Smiling over tequila? Not a good look. It's pretty clear that Manziel has a problem and I can only imagine that the only solution is sadness and scotch. Everyone knows that's how you truly battle your inner demons. It's certainly not by drinking Don Julio. Inner demons love Don Julio. This is going to drive Hue Jackson nuts. I'm sure he already knew that Johnny was drinking in the offseason but he didn't know that he was enjoying himself in the process. That's how you know he really doesn't value his career. Not by his alcohol intake, but his general contentment while preparing himself for that intake. Geez, if the guy was going to have the gall to smile in public would it kill him to put his disguise on first?
