Lance Stephenson Got Chirped While Watching Street Ball So He Suited Up And Dropped 25 Points in 12 Minutes
BSO- Lance Stephenson is ‘Born Ready’ and Brooklyn bred, so you’ve lost your mind if you think trash talk will get the Clippers guard off his game.
Stephenson suited up at the “Battle of the Bridge” East New York Memorial Classic over the weekend, coming out the crowd as a spectator, after someone called the brash guard out from the crowd. .
Stephenson got ‘lit’ after the exchange, quickly getting dressed and dropping 25 points in just 12 minutes, which is just one-quarter in an NBA game.
Mid-season form baby. Nothing like taking a jab or two from a heckler than hitting them right in the mouth with 25 points in 12 minutes. Facing a first possession double team? Ahh, no worries, he'll just casually step back and hit a fadeaway three right in your face. Only been a Clipper for a month and he's already shooting better from distance than he did last year. Going to need that attitude going into the season too. Doc and the boys didn't make too many friends during free agency. Got to imagine there is going to be more hate than usual spewed in their direction. If Lance Stephenson and his video game-esque stat line in response to a "fan" are any indication of what the Clippers have in store for the contempt they will undoubtedly face from Western Conference foes than it should be a hell of a year. 'Born Ready' and his 'prove you wrong' mindset will be a welcome addition to a team that fell short of expectations next year. There's no lack of physical talent on the Clippers roster, but they'll have to avoid the mental mistakes that turned a 3-1 series lead to a historically ugly defeat if they want to change the perception of this franchise. Lance Stephenson will hopefully be one of many keys to doing just that, even if he does break out these antics every once and awhile. Lance gonna Lance...
