Looks Like Uber Will Be In The Business Of Delivering Panties On Valentine's Day

DailyDot- Sometimes, you find yourself in a situation where you really need a clean pair of underwear. Uber, a company known for some strange promotions, has you covered. 

From Feb. 12th through Valentine's Day, UberRUSH will deliver lingerie to you (or a loved one, wink, wink) all throughout Manhattan. 

Naja, a lingerie company co-owned by Jane the Virgin star Gina Rodriguez will be Uber's partner for the promotion. The company will deliver Naja's Ada Bra in Rose for $85, the Emma Brief in Rose for $20, the Gina Bralette in Monarchy for $65, and the Martina Lo-Rise in Black for $65.



I won't say I don't love the premise. Uber's entire business model is based on convenience and affordability, and this falls right in line with that. Sure, $85 seems like a pretty penny for a bra, but the ability to have a Valentine's Day present delivered in a timely manner cannot be overvalued. If you're the type of guy that is too lazy to shop for your girlfriend prior to the day-of then coming away having spent less than $100 on a gift is an absolutely heist. Time is money and -by all accounts- this Uber promotion could save some terrible, terrible boyfriends a lot of it. The problem here isn't that this deal doesn't make sense, it's that it doesn't account for female intuition.

​Do you know how many questions come with buying your girlfriend lingerie? Where did you get it? How did you know my size? How did you know which style I liked? Why did a quick Google search just show me that this exact lingerie company is doing a one day only promotion with Uber as we speak? At the end of the day there is no way you are getting out of that situation without your significant other finding out that her brand new underwear was delivered just hours before by some unqualified driver named 'Jesus'. No seriously, I had an Uber driver just two days ago named 'Jesus' and I don't know if there is a type of person that you DO want handling your girlfriend's undergarments, but he was definitely not one of them. The fact of the matter is that if you are even considering doing this then it's probably already too late and you likely have no other choice. However, be forewarned that the chances of Valentine's Day ending on a high note are probably about the same as the chances that your G-string jockey doesn't take a hearty whiff of your girlfriend's new skivvies.
