Uproxx- Manny Pacquiao told Karen Davila of ANC’s “Headstart” in the Philippines that “The Lord” showed him in a dream a month before the fight that he would lose. “One month before the fight I dreamt that I lost the decision,” Manny told Davila during an interview in which he announced he plans to run for Senate in 2016. Manny continued, saying in half-English, half-Tagalog that he felt blessed to know the result before the fight: “It was already shown me. So I am still blessed because the Lord informed that this would happen.” Well, this is new. I've got to say, it's a little refreshing to learn that the Lord isn't a front running son of a bitch. All these postgame interviews had me thinking that he was the most despicable sports fan ever. Definitely going to sleep a little better at night knowing that he isn't above associating with people that lose too. I probably should have known after God's right hand man, Russell Wilson, took an L in the Super Bowl, but I just thought the last play call was so blasphemous that it transcended the Lord's will. Nope, just God showing that losers are his children too. I honestly thought he was up there in the clouds with a closet full of 350 different hats just swapping them out at the first sign of a momentum change. Good to know it's all just a part of his plan. Even God realizes that sometimes you have to willingly mourn over a defeat to keep you humble. Even the almighty knows that a loss makes the wins feel so much better. Sure, Manny Pacquiao maintained that he won the fight even months after it happened, but when Jesus trusts you with such privileged information you have to keep it close to the vest. If Manny had come away from the fight declaring Floyd Mayweather the better fighter we would have known something was up. Karen Davila should be ashamed of herself. She pushed Manny to the brink and he gave away what our creator entrusted him with, the fact that people don't lose because they are inferior, they lose because God wants them to.
