TMZ- James Harden's mother tells TMZ Sports ... Matt Barnes PERSONALLY APOLOGIZED Wednesday night ... after the L.A. Clippers star hurled an extremely rude comment to her during last night's NBA playoff game.
Monja Willis wouldn't tell us exactly what Barnes said to her at the Toyota Center in Houston during Game 2 of the Western Conference Semi-Finals ... saying, "We'll leave that on the court." What we do know ... Matt's comment really pissed off one of Monja's other sons -- who was sitting next to her during the game and heard it ... and confronted Barnes after the final buzzer. Willis tells us ... "My older son walked over to him and told him to apologize ... and he did." Monja says, "What he told me was that he would never want to disrespect anyone's mother because his mother passed from cancer ... and that he was sorry." "I accept his apology." Oh Christ, how many foul shots is a mom insult worth? Will 60+ cover it? I mean that's the only reason I can come up with for the insane free throw disparity last night. Whatever, so Matt Barnes told James Harden's mom to suck his dick, big deal. That's what Matt Barnes does. It's in his job description. Get under the skin of his opponents. What happens on the court stays on the court, and there's no way that big old woman was fitting in the stands. It's how it was handled after that matters. James Harden's brother asked Matt Barnes to apologize? That's all you need to know about James Harden and the Houston Rockets. Goose down pillow soft. Someone tells your mom to suck their dick you don't casually strut to the foul line. Somethings are more important than basketball. Maybe show a little attitude James. Better hope people fear that beard because no one is shaking in their boots because of your killer instinct, or lack there of. That's the only reason Barnes apologized. He felt bad for a mother whose son wouldn't even defend her honor. The Rockets took advantage of a whistle that was looser than James Harden's mother last night, and they simply made shots when they had to. They didn't buckle down and show they are a better team. The Clippers came out and played bad offensive basketball in the second half and were limited defensively by DeAndre Jordan's foul trouble. All we learned last night is what we already knew. The Clippers need a remotely healthy Chris Paul to win, and if they have a remotely healthy Chris Paul they will win. Hell, if CP3 started while using crutches yesterday we are looking at a 2-0 series lead. Look at the 4 halves of basketball in this series. By my estimation each team has won two. The Rockets were able to adjust to Blake Griffin after he put up damn near 30 points in the first half. Without Chris Paul there are not enough reliable playmakers on the floor to keep the attention off Blake. Especially if Austin Rivers is going to keep trying that behind the back move that always ends up with him falling flat on his face, and the ball going the other way. At this point in the series it's safe to say that these teams are comparable in talent...when the best player in the series is sidelined with an injury. Time to pray for the health of CP3 and bring this series back to LA. Hopefully the Rockets leave that trout mouthed mother of James Harden at home. It's about to get a lot more offensive when Matt Barnes and the gang break their foot in her son's ass.
