Miko Grimes' Crazy Ass Has Successfully Cost Her Husband Multiple NFL Jobs

LBS-  At least three NFL teams have reportedly ruled out the possibility of signing veteran cornerback Brent Grimes because of the way his wife acts.

Grimes’ wife, Miko, is a total loose cannon. She has been known to threaten reporters on Twitter and make comments about players that lead to tension in the locker room. On Thursday, Bleacher Report’s Jason Cole said he was told by three NFL general managers that they are not interested in Brent because of Miko.

“Miko Grimes was primarily the reason why the Dolphins asked (Brent) to take a pay cut and ultimately cut him,” Cole said. “Miko Grimes has made threats toward reporters and did again on Wednesday after her husband was cut.”

Earlier this week, Armando Salguero of The Miami Herald reported that the Dolphins were looking to trade Grimes rather than release him, but they had trouble finding takers because of his wife. Miko later went off on Salguero and threatened him in a series of tweets, which you can read here.




You can take the rat out of the hood, but you can't take the...you know what, I think I'm going to let you use context clues to finish that sentence so as to avoid the racial implications. Seriously though, Miko Grimes isn't the first ratchet WAG, but she's the first one that's ratchet enough to cost her husband multiple million dollar job opportunities. I think in a weird way that makes her a pioneer.

Think about how many men of questionable character are employed by the NFL during any given year. Jerry Jones would sign a murderer mid-rape, but he won't touch Brent Grimes because he can't trust his wife to restrain herself. Greg Hardy got a second chance after he beat the piss out of a woman, went MIA every other week after he got said chance, and even he was less of a distraction than Miko Grimes. She's the loosest cannon in the entire NFL, and she doesn't even play in the NFL. She's making her presence so felt from the stands that NFL franchises have to make sure that she has no reason to be in their building. Now, it certainly helps that Brent Grimes is a 33 year old corner on the downside of his career, but he's a 33 year old corner on the downside of his career that would have a job if it weren't for having a spouse that's more volatile than the athletes who are paid to inflict each other with as much pain as possible. The amount of crazy that it takes to get someone a second-hand stigmatization throughout a league that has employed nearly every type felon may not be commendable, but I'll be damned if it's not historic.

The only explanation for these two staying together is that Brent Grimes is having better sex than literally everyone else walking the Earth, or he is actually scared for his life. Either way I can't say I blame him, because bitches simply don't get any badder than Miko Grimes. I guess the unfortunate aspect of having a ride-or-die is that they'll stick by your side your entire career, but they might eventually end up killing it. The real loser here is the fans, because the reason we love Brent Grimes and the reason he will have a tough time staying in the NFL is one and the same, and it does;t loom half bad in handcuffs...
