Morris Twins Allegedly Jumped A GUy That Had Sent Inappropriate Text Messages To Their MOther

Daily Mail- Identical twins Marcus and Markieff Morris, who both play forward for the Phoenix Suns, are now the focus of an investigation into a felony aggravated assault which allegedly occurred in January. 

Phoenix police say the 25-year-old twins and three others assaulted Erik Hood at the Nina Mason Pulliam Recreation & Sports Complex where the alleged victim and a woman were watching a basketball game. 

Hood, 36, told police he knows the twins from when he mentored them while they were growing up in Philadelphia and that he used to support them financially until they had a 'falling out'. 

He told police he sent a text telling the twins' mother, Thomasine Morris, he'd 'always be there for her' and that another friend, Julius Kane, 25, saw the message and concluded their relationship was sexual in nature. 

In addition to the twins, who like to be called Team FOE (Family Over Everything), Hood also said Kane helped carry out the assault against him. 

During the reported confrontation, Hood told police he was held down, punched in the head, kicked and then beaten to the point of unconsciousness after he was able to briefly escape. 

You know why people hesitate to date single mothers? Because not only do you have to gain the respect and the trust of the mother, but also have to gain the respect and the trust of her children. Sometimes that means avoiding the "you're not my daddy" comment, and sometimes it means avoiding getting your candy ass beaten raw outside an Arizona gym. 

I don't want to read this crap that they just realized the relationship between this guy and their mother was sexual in nature. He supported the twins through college and remained in contact with this woman for years, correct? Who sticks around for years at a time unless that 'friend' is providing you some kind of benefits? This isn't high school anymore. No one gets put in the friend zone by a mother of two grown ass men. The problem here is that you can't have a falling out with two guys large enough to be bouncers, and still expect to causally sext their mother on the side. There is nothing neutral about playing step daddy. You are either their friend or their enemy. When your enemy has the means available to him that the Morris twins do it's probably best not to provoke him. Can't be on the bad side of the majority of a household that goes by the motto 'Family Over Everything' and expect that your well being isn't at risk.

As a general rule of thumb it's usually best to avoid women with baggage, especially oversized baggage with a notoriously bad attitude. When you start messing around with a woman that has daddy issues, or a crazy ex-boyfriend, or two nearly 7 foot professional athletes as sons you kind of assume liability. I know forbidden love is the best kind of love, but maybe not when it could result in getting posterized by the Suns front court in a parking lot.
