WTNH- Middletown police say a drunk mother was arrested early Tuesday morning after she gave her underage son alcohol, causing him to go to the hospital.
According to authorities, Briana DeKorte’s 18-year-old son, whose identity wasn’t released, was physically ill and vomiting after she gave him beer and vodka. They say he was taken to a hospital for treatment. DeKorte is charged with second-degree reckless endangerment and interfering with an officer. Her bond was set at $5,000 and she’s scheduled to appear in court on June 16. This is my biggest fear about being a parent. Nope, not that my son might be gay (I know, shocker right?). Not even that I might have to stay in and be responsible for another human being. My biggest fear is that the actions of said child will reflect upon me as a parent. Here's how this story SHOULD have gone. Mother buys 18 year old son booze so he can safely drink under their own roof. Son has friends over, gets super drunk, has underwhelming protected sex with his girlfriend, pukes in the sink, wakes up feeling like shit and talking about how awesome last night was. Instead you end up with a pussy ass son that drinks a little too much and wants to go to the hospital. All the sudden you went from the coolest parent ever to a convict. Why is everything so goddamn result oriented? This mother shouldn't be held responsible for her son's lack of a tolerance. Buying his booze instead of making him go out and get his hands on some illegally was good parenting. Him puking up his last 5 meals is bad childing. Is it a good look that this mother was drunk when she gave her son booze? Probably not, but she's a parent and she's allowed to be drunk if she doesn't plan on driving. An 18 year old may not legally be old enough to drink, but he's legally old enough to make his own decisions. If he decides to drink the shitty house vodka and domestic beer that his mother gave him to the point of poisoning himself then that's on him. It's not on the drunken, battered broad that is probably napping on the couch.

You are the true definition of a douche bag, if you truly are a parent, I feel sorry for your kid.
