Not Too Hard To See Why Dez Bryant Voiced His Support Of Greg Hardy

Aww, look at Dez Bryant growing up and finally looking after his personal brand! I'm so proud of him that it almost brings a tear to my eye. Now, you may be sitting there saying to yourself that a man that openly supports another man that placed his hands on a woman is no man at all. I would agree with that, but let's not put the cart ahead of the horse in assuming that Dez Bryant's motives weren't of the ulterior variety.

Dez Bryant doesn't give a shit about Greg Hardy. Dez Bryant has never given a shit about anyone but himself. You think he is going to start with the most unanimously hated person in the entire league? Hell no. He's looking out for himself. As long as Greg Hardy is in the locker room Dez Bryant will never be the first person that the media goes to first for a story. There aren't many people in professional sports that constantly churn out more divisive content than Dez Bryant, but Greg Hardy is absolutely one of them. I bet Dez would love to bring in Johnny Manziel too. Probably knock him down to third on the totem pole of stupidity. He wouldn't even have to worry about changing who he is or how he handles himself. Dez Bryant could just go right on along being himself and he would look like a choir boy in comparison to the wife beaters and alcoholics in the Cowboys locker room. More trouble as a whole means that his contribution to that trouble becomes smaller by default. Remember when Dez Bryant tried to settle down Greg Hardy on the sidelines last year? Who came away from that looking like the good teammate? Who was portrayed as calm, cool, and collected the next day? That's right, it was one of the most disagreeable wide receivers in NFL history. You want to keep Dez quiet? Put louder people around him. Problem solved.
