Obligatory Kobe Bryant Blog Because His Alley Oop Last Night Might Be The Last Great Play Of His Career
I didn't want to blog this. I really didn't. It pains me that this is what it's come to. Acting like one of the greatest players in NBA history throwing down a ho-hum alley oop is #1 on Sportscenter's Top 10 isn't the way Kobe Bryant should be going out. Unfortunately, every semi-impressive play he makes could be his last semi-impressive play, and I'll de damned if I am going to miss out on posting Kobe's last dunk. Maybe I'll just update this blog with a new video every time Kobe does anything to make us forget, even for just a second, that his career is on death's doorstep. I don't know. Honestly, I just want this season to end so we can reflect back on good Kobe. Black Mamba Kobe. Rip your heart out and snarl at you as he backpedaled to the other end of the floor Kobe. Demand excellence/scream at his teammates and never pass them the ball Kobe. I can't deal with this happy-go-lucky guy that doesn't care whether or not his shitty team wins or loses. I think I have seen Kobe smile more in the last 3 months than I have seen him smile over the last 20 years, and call it selfish, but it's fucking ruining this NBA season for me. Passive, easy going Kobe might as well be retired Kobe. I am glad that he has accepted his fate and is enjoying the remaining moments of Hall of Fame career, but Jesus Christ is it tough to watch.
