Nailed, absolutely nailed it. The filter, the background, everything. That's how you social media baby! Why else would someone use a picture app if not to paint themselves in a positive light? "What? DeAndre left because of me? Well, he came back, so I must be responsible for that too. I'm just going to casually throw up this picture of us hugging that one time and people will be none the wiser". You mean to tell me those two guys hate each other? Come on now. Look at that smile. Look at that hand on the back of the head. Look at DeAndre coddling his lower back. Instagram may make pictures look prettier, but it doesn't make up fraudulent scenarios. That hug happened, and it looks like the goddamn sweetest moment in sports history. Shit, I am wiping a tear off my keyboard as we speak. That picture is to Instagram what 'The Notebook' is to the movie industry. Instant tear jerker. I can literally feel the love through my computer screen.
Listen, I get that the there was some bad blood between Chris Paul and DeAndre Jordan. Like Chris said, "Believe only half of what you see, and nothing that you hear". That's why I'll believe half of this picture, as well as half of what I saw on the court. To think these two guys flat out despise each other over some constructive criticism and a few missed 'high 5's' would be flat out ignorant. On the other hand, to think that they are 'brothers', or best friends, as this picture portrays would also be extremely optimistic. In reality, they are probably two guys that work together famously on the court, fit seamlessly into the Clippers locker room, and from time to time have a disagreement. Not everyone has to love each other for a team to be successful, but they do have to respect each other. I don't think there is any lack of respect between the two parties, regardless of what you hear from the media. Let's just say it's somewhere in between this....
....and this....
