YardBarker- “Ted Wells came in with a mission against me,” Incognito told Bob Glauber of Newsday. “Ted Wells came in slanted against me and everything in his report was slanted against me. There were some things in there that would have helped my cause that were left out.
“Teammate testimony, stuff like that. You see that in Brady’s case. There’s a lot of stuff that got left out. There’s a lot of misinformation." “I just think it’s bogus, the whole system in how it’s set up with Roger [Goodell] and the complete, absolute power he has,” Incognito said. “He has so much power and he hires independent investigators who come in and are obviously not independent. They come in with an agenda and they come in looking to find facts to back up their argument. All the facts are slanted in their favor.” You see what you've done Roger? No, I am not talking about potentially fabricating an entire story about deflated footballs to sour the name of one of the NFL's most prestigious franchises. I am talking about being so wrong that you made a guy that used racial slurs and suggested that he was going to sodomize a teammate's entire family look right. Do you know how impressive that is? Richie Incognito has done some indefensible things in his career, but straight up lie throughout a 6 month investigation is not one of them. A league that is chalked full of athletes with questionable moral character, and the commissioner might be the biggest scumbag of them all. This reminds me of when James Harrison eviscerated Goodell on Twitter when it was reported that the NFL had the tape of Ray Rice hitting his wife and still only gave him a two game suspension. Any other profession where employees can uncover their boss committing fraud and we are talking about resignations from the top down. Not the NFL. They can just continue to be as wrong as they want with no ramifications. Think about this. Professional athletes that make more in a year than most people make in two decades and their boss is soooo shitty that I actually feel bad for them. A bunch of millionaires playing a game for a living, and I have to pity them because at any given moment they can fall victim to tyrannical rule. Somehow, someway, Roger Goodell has made football players worthy of sympathy. Has there ever been a more ethically reprehensible lawyer than Ted Wells? I mean, all lawyers lie to some extent, but Wells just hitched his entire wagon to a pathological liar. He said "fuck it, this gig pays well, who cares if I have to compromise every ounce of my moral fiber". Sure, it would be nice to have integrity, but Wells would much rather have the trust of the guy banking 40 million annually. Ted Wells' full time job is to take each and every false narrative that Goodell puts forth and carefully craft a backstory that legitimatizes the consequences. That's about as biased as it gets. I almost have to respect the fact that Ted Wells is so obviously partial, yet Goodell still enlists his services nearly every time controversy arises. Just completely stopped putting in the effort to pull the wool over our eyes. Goodell and Wells are like the guy that will cheat on his girlfriend every chance he gets, but refuses to lock his phone, because he knows she will never leave him. They are working from such a place of power, that even though Richie Incognito's opinion is genuine and factual, it doesn't come as a surprise to anyone. Football is America's game, but it is somehow exempt from the American legal system.
