Salah Mejri Dunked And Then Taunted The Spurs Bench...To A Chorus Of Laughs

Here's a question for you. If you were a productive bench player in the NBA, would you rather play for the Golden State Warriors or the San Antonio Spurs? Keep in mind I'm not asking who the better team is, I am asking which team would make the season long experience more enjoyable. It's not like your championship aspirations take that much of a hit playing for one of the most accomplished coaches in professional sports anyway.

I guess my main point is that being a Golden State Warrior has to be exhausting. They go out there each night treating every regular season game like it's Game 7 because they are chasing a record. They have Draymond Green responding to every harmless criticism like someone threatened his mother's life. I don't even know how many billboards they have in that locker room, but with the amount of innocuous material that Steph and the boys use as motivation it's got to be upwards of three or four. Yes, they look like they are having fun out there on a nightly basis, but at some point it's just got to get tiring constantly acting victimized and treating every game like it's a must-win.

Meanwhile, you could be on the San Antonio Spurs. Sure, you're not setting any records, but there's also games where your head coach just randomly sits his starters and gives you more minutes. Gregg Popovich is so unpredictable that on any given night you could be given a starring role in the game plan. Your team has won so many rings that they hardly pay attention to any disparagement thrown their way. Some random foreigner throws one down and talks shit to your bench? You simply laugh right in his face along with the rest of your teammates.  It actually sounds like a pretty relaxing experience. No drama. No pressure. No one to worry about but yourselves. You basically coast to a 60-65 win season every year, and you all but guarantee yourself a lengthy playoff run. It's easy to say the Golden State Warriors because they are in the midst of one of the greatest seasons in NBA history, but I think I would rather be kicking my feet up as a San Antonio Spur.
