Metro- The illustration, drawn by controversial right-wing cartoonist Bill Leak, depicted same-sex marriage campaigners as Nazi stormtroopers in rainbow outfits.
The caption reads ‘Waffen-SSM’ – a play on words that links ‘same-sex marriage’ to the Nazis’ military Waffen-SS wing. I won't stand for this. No sir. Not in 2016. With so many other groups of people that compare favorably to fascist regimes I will not let some shock cartoonist get away with dragging the reputation of the LGBT community through the mud. Had he slapped an NFL shield on their helmets, a PETA logo across their chests, and some 'Crossfit' branded boots on their feet then this would be worth a laugh, but there is nothing funny about slandering the sanctity of the rainbow. I don't even feel that way because I think it's wrong to study the similarities between members of a select sexuality that are searching for equal rights and members of a group of homicidal maniacs responsible for the largest ethnic cleansing in human history. I feel that way because there are no goddamn similarities. There is nothing Nazi-like about the LGBT community. In fact, I would argue the exact opposite is the case. The gays couldn't be a more all-inclusive bunch. Hell, even if they were interesting in brainwashing us all into accepting a certain set of beliefs I think I would be down with that set of beliefs. Ever seen a gay pride parade? I doubt it's meant to accomplish the same thing as hundreds of thousands of Germans marching through the streets looking to terminally imprison everyone that doesn't look like them, but if it was they've chosen a far more alluring strategy to do so. Take one look at a homosexual gathering and tell me you haven't thought about grabbing the closest member of the same sex just so that you could feel like you were a part of it. If it didn't include stimulating a dick that wasn't my own I would be as gay as the day is long. I guess that means they do have the same power of influence as a racist, anti-Semitic dictatorship, but call me crazy for not seeing any commonalities between their intentions.
