Well that was...violent. I'm going to be honest with you, the first time I watched James Johnson split the help defense on the the pick-and-roll and take off towards the basket with no regard for human life I audibly gasped and backed away from my computer screen. Steph Curry shot to the ground in such a shocking manner that I had no choice but to feel the second hand pain that is generally reserved for seeing another man suffer a kick to the testicles or a compound fracture. It was legitimately disturbing to view someone absorb that amount of force while in the midst of getting emasculated. In reality it's probably more accurate to rate this clip PG-13, but if I had a child then my instinctual reaction would have been to put my hands over his eyes. Never mind parental advisory, I genuinely think that anyone under the age of consent should view this highlight with a science teacher so they can explain to them how James Johnson temporarily defied the laws of physics at the expense of a back-to-back NBA MVP. I understand how momentum works, but I don't think there's any amount of kinetic energy that should make a grown man standing tall in the paint have the same effect as a fleeting gust of wind. You might as well photoshop Steph Curry out of this Vine because if you just focus on the man that posterized him then you'd swear that - for at least 6 seconds - he didn't exist as a physical form of matter. Something tells me he wished that were the case as he laid on his back in front of a packed house in stunned silence.
