All due respect to Steph Curry. I know that he made about six different shots from that very spot alone last season, but I feel pretty comfortable saying that none of them were as awe-inspiring as this Aaron Rodgers-esque hail mary. We have all obviously seen a hell of a lot of prayers answered on the basketball court, but I can't say I have seen any of them were as matter-of-factly attempted as Taj Gibson's deadly accurate one-armed heave. That throw was so impressive that if it fell 10 feet to the right of the basket I still would have come away saying "what a fucking arm on that guy". Just look at that trajectory. That thing didn't just leave the television screen, it floated all the way up to the eye level of people sitting well into the 200's. If you told me it miraculously traveled through some rafters on the way I would probably take you at your word. I think we have become slightly desensitized by odds-defying buzzer beaters, but I watched this one about 15 times over before my jaw reattached itself. Taj Gibson literally dropped a ball into a basket from about 30 yards out, and he did so flatfooted with the basketball equivalent of a pass rush right in his face.
