Thank God This Colorado Doctor Isn't Racist, Or Calling Michelle Obama "Monkey Face" Would Look Really Bad
NYDailyNews- Denver Health Medical Center doctor Michelle Herren posted an unflattering picture of FLOTUS under a status with a comment that read “Doesn’t seem to be speaking too eloquently here, thank god we can’t hear her!”
Herren wrote that in response to Nieto’s friend who praised Obama.
“Harvard??? That’s a place for “entitled” folks said all the liberals!” the doctor continued in the post.
The First Lady is a Harvard Law and Princeton University graduate.
"Monkey face and poor ebonic English!!! There! I feel better and am still not racist!!! Just calling it like it is!" Herren added.
Whew, that was a close one. Almost thought there was some esteemed University Doctor shamelessly spewing prejudice bullshit all over social media. I didn't really have high hopes for the path she was going down in that first sentence and that, my friends, is why you never take a quote of coxtent. If I had just waited until the end of the seemingly cliche Facebook post before I started forming an opinion then I would have realized that this actually had nothing to do with race. I just barely avoided the egg that was headed towards my stupid white, non-primate face. I don't understand why everyone can't take off their tin foil hats for a second and do the same. This is highly educated women that spent like 5 extra years in school to get where she is in her career. Of course she wasn't displaying a deep-seated hatred for people that inherently appear more attractive than her during those cold, dark winter months. She was just providing commentary on what a particularly important public figure happens to look like. Is she supposed to apologize because that happens to be the only animal that shares a similar shade of skin? Come on, who hasn't judged a book by it's cover? Probably a little off-color (zing) to assume that the wife of the first black President speaks in ebonics, but Michelle Herren was too focused on making sure people knew she absolutely, positively was not racist to actually listen to her speak. What's more important here? Including the discrimination disclaimer that she's apparently used before given the inclusion of the word "still", or having any basis whatsoever when you compare The First Lady's ability to public speak to the lyrics of Desiigner?
