The Cleveland Cavaliers Dancing Shirtless In A Cold Tub Isn't The Greatest Look For Hip Hop Culture5/27/2015 I think my thoughts on LeBron and company have been pretty well documented. Can't say them dancing shirtless around a cold tub to quite possibly the worst hip hop song ever created is going to do much to change my mind. At this point, this video was just par for the course. I guess what concerns me more than a bunch of players that have been claiming knee troubles breaking it down like they are in the club is what it says about hip hop music. Where did we go wrong? When did 'Flicka Da Wrist' become the new summer anthem. I think this is one of the times where you get aged out of a sector of society. If the new thing is liking this musical hanger abortion then I am all hands off deck in terms of urban culture.
Between James Harden, Austin Rivers imitating James Harden, and this Cavs team I have seen enough wrist flicks for a lifetime. Once I saw this video and realized it was some crazy phenomenon I had to Google what song it comes from. I lasted one chorus. No way I was getting to the bridge without puncturing my eardrum with a butter knife. You want to tell me this dance is dope when James Harden knocks down a contested 3 and wants to rub salt in the wound as he highly jogs back down court then that's fine. I would actually agree with you. A bunch of half naked, grown ass men doing it while passing bubbly back and forth is decidedly less dope. Especially when it's a celebration that is stolen from a player that is still technically in the playoffs. Fucking Cleveland. Can't even be ignorant right. Imagine if this was New York? JR Smith would already be halfway to a $200,000 tab and a sexual assault charge. Now he's playing rub-a-dub-dub with LeBron in the tub. This fucking team is just as uncool as they are unlikable. If I was on this Cavs team I would probably walk in, take a gander at the tub, and decide on a shower instead. No wonder Kevin Love hates these guys. Their choice in hop hop isn't just an insult to the black community, it's an insult to formalized sound. I can't even explain how badly I need to see Golden State emasculate this team...
