So, the first thing that came to my mind when I saw this was Tammy in the Mighty Ducks doing pirouettes in front of the net until everyone got confused and she ended up scoring. Generally speaking, when actual sports plays bring to mind those of children's sports movies it is not a good thing.
First of all, if you are going to play dead/fake faint/whatever the fuck that was make it a little more believable. Falling down like you are a cartoon character running into a brick wall has a 0% success rate. If the plan of attack is to get their attention bust out a little fake seizure, or maybe fake a heart attack. You're telling me there is nothing else you could have had that guy do? You think college football players are going to lose their train of thought by someone falling down lifeless. These guys go out there and try to take each others' lives on a play by play basis. The last thing on their mind is another player's well being…at least until the play is over. I mean, I had to watch this video 3 times before I even realized what was happening. That's how inconsequential this guy was to the play and everyone else involved in it. Then again, maybe I didn't notice the guy playing possum, because of how goddamn bad that play call was. Did they even practice that? That pass was about 15 yards short of making any sense at all. Is Arkansas State so bad that they don't know when to call an audible or change up their plan on the fly? Miami was pretty much playing base defense on this play. I realize that Arkansas State has to pull all the tricks out of the book when playing Miami, but Jesus, be a bit more creative.
