I want everyone reading this to participate in a quick exercise for me. I promise it won't take long. Ready... Take out a piece of paper and start writing down the names of the starting fullbacks in the NFL. Alright, it's been about 45 seconds, you undoubtedly have no more than 3 names on your list, and you're probably exacerbating your hangover racking your brain in an attempt to prove your NFL knowledge. Don't you worry because I am here to tell you it's impossible to think of 5 active lead blockers (H-backs don't count) that don't play for the team you root for, and that's what makes the addition of John Kuhn so impressive. Sure, he's just a 33 year old veteran playing a largely obsolete position, but the fact that I knew his name before he even stepped foot in the Saints locker room means he's probably one of the best to ever play that position. I'm not familiar enough with his work to say whether or not he's going to have his own enclosure in Canton, but I know he'd be a first ballot inductee if the fine folks of Green Bay were the ones voting. Not sure that speaks to anything more than his likability, but adding a situational battering ram with a solid spike and an affable personality to a locker room has never been to it's detriment. You know, as long as Sean Payton doesn't plan on having him run too many fade patterns...
