Yahoo- Nate Dogg's son is no longer a member of Washington's football program. Naijiel Hale was dismissed Friday.

According to the Seattle Times, Hale posted a message to his Instagram page but the link doesn't work and it is not on his main page. Here's the text from the Times.

“I would like to announce that I will be taking my football career elsewhere and thank the university of Washington for everything they’ve taught me,” Hale wrote. “I Thank you coach Lake and Coach Peterson (sic) for being there for me and understanding everything that I go through. Nobody in this world will understand my life yet I’m still moving forward. I’m so thankful to play and start many games as a True Freshmen in the PAC-12 and those memories will stick with me forever. New chapter ahead…. Ride with me.”

As the old saying goes, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. That's why it might be time for rappers to start convincing their children to follow in their career path. Is anyone surprised that another rapper's son is having problems fitting into a locker room with 100 other diverse people? Just following the entitled footsteps of Diddy and son. Hell, the only kid that is thriving in college football is the son of Snoop Dogg, the most mild mannered (Also see: High) hip hop artist of all time.  Rappers can barely stay in a group with people that they consider friends for more than few years. It takes a braggadocios, cocky type of person to succeed in the rap game, and succeed is exactly what Naijiel Hale's father did. Nate Dogg ran with the brashest, most arrogant group of rappers in the game, don't tell me that his son didn't pick up at least a couple of his personality traits. The atmosphere surrounding a sports team and the atmosphere surrounding a rap group couldn't be any different, that's why it is so hard for people to be successful in both fields.

Talk about timing! Could this news coincide any better with the current nostalgia of West Coast hip hop? We've got Dre finally dropping an album after a 15 year hiatus. And now, right before a movie dedicated to NWA hits the big screen, the son of Dre's half brother gets kicked off his college football team? Presumably for being a N.W.A?!? It's almost too perfect. He should just come out and dedicate this situation to his father. Who wouldn't understand an expulsion in the name of the 'King Of Hooks'? Someone get Naijiel on track ASAP, this playing nice shit is for the birds. Bitch Please, you don't regulate a Regulator. The funny thing about your past ,Naijiel, is that you Can't Deny It. The Next Episode needs to feature a hot, catchy chorus, not pass deflections and press coverage.

R.I.P. King...
