I know that headline reads as if I am downplaying the significance of becoming almost inarguably the best short distance sprinter in Olympic history, but the truth is I am not. Instead I am playing up the significance of a timeless photo turned hilarious meme. You see, I can probably count on one hand the amount of times I have been confused as someone who is photogenic, and all of those instances have one thing in common - they didn't capture me accomplishing a historical feat in mind numbingly impressive fashion. Usain Bolt didn't just earn himself a Kodak moment by cockily cheesin' to the camera mid-race, he earned himself the Kodak moment by which all future Kodak moments will be measured... and he did so at a world record pace! I don't know what brand of camera was responsible for this snapshot, but I do know that their flagship store unquestionably already has this hanging inside their window front. If I were Usain Bolt this moment would be immortalized in every single room in my house. A Gold medal signifies to people that you are the best, but this picture - and it's accompanying 1,000 words - let's everyone know by just how wide of a margin. I'm sure the accolades and the praise are nice, but having a flawless self portrait that would give the most humble man a Kardashian-esque level of vanity has to be towards the top of Usain Bolt's never-ending list of triumphs. Especially in 2016 when that picture can be used be as the driving force behind thousands of online jokes at the expense of your competition...or lack thereof.
