Vontaze Burfict Blaming An Unnamed Teammate For The Bengals Playoff Loss Is The Coward's Way Out3/2/2016
Does Burfict blame himself for that defeat?
“No, I don’t. There was only a minute left in the game,” Burfict said. “Coach always says, ‘Trust a teammate to pack your parachute,’ and I trusted my teammate. I don’t want to say any names, but I trusted my teammates to execute and finish the game.” Say it. Just say it. Just say it Vontaze. I already know who you are talking about. Hell, the whole damn world does. We may not agree with you, but still, we need YOU to say it. It's far too late to be candid. You choose this path and there is no turning back now. Can't leave us hanging off this cliff. That would be just as bad as having someone do a shitty job prepping your 'chute and leaving you to fall face first into a never-ending cycle of public persecution. I am not saying you can't be a good teammate. I am saying that I know you are not a good teammate. The fact that you couldn't face a minor interrogation without throwing someone else under the bus proves that. You've already shown you're not the selfless, "we're all in this together" type of dude so it's time to see this self-preservation all the way through by attaching a name to that accusation. If there is anything worse than being the guy in the locker room that's constantly pointing the finger elsewhere then it's being the guy that isn't even choosing a distinct direction in which to point that finger. That shot was anything but subliminal, but it packs a more powerful punch if you admit who it was fired at. At least take responsibility for your accuracy when deflecting accountability. Don't sit on that fence like a coward. We are already know which side of it you belong on. It's more commendable -relatively speaking of course- to stab someone in the front than to stab them in the back, so don't go backing away from the murder weapon now. The damage has been done. The only thing left to do is...well...say it...
