I'm not enough of a baseball fan to be the person that draws the line in the sand as to how far we are allowed to go with the bat flipping craze. That said, I think now would be the time we instill some loose regulations on when it is okay to frivolously flick your lumber skyward. Homeruns? Okay. Walk-offs? Fine. Hitting an umpire in the face after walking on what looked to be a perfect strike? That type of shit will have Bryce Harper asking you to "respect the game". I'm glad I got to witness it because that stare down from blue was certified gold. However, not having the awareness to casually place the bat on the ground before undeservingly taking your base is so egregious that it might get Goose Gossage to fly international just to paddle some Asian ass with his unwritten rule book. God, this Korean dude is making me sound like a parent, because I'm all about making baseball fun again, but this simply getting out of control.
