Daily Mail- A single mother lost her new job working at a daycare after posting her hatred for the gig on Facebook before even starting her first day. 'I start my new job today, but I absolutely hate working at daycare,' posted Kaitlyn Walls, 27, of Colony, Texas to her social media account. Walls told CBS she desperately needs a job and that she never meant to hurt anyone. She said she cried after scores of strangers wrote insults on her Facebook page because of her post. I really needed it really bad,' she said. 'I’m a single mom..trying to get out on my own,' she added. Walls said that when posting her negative opinion about working at the Child Development Center in Colony, she immediately received backlash from her community online. The owners of the day care found out about Walls' post and told her not to go back to work the next day. You really got to question this woman's decision making. Not because she posted how much she hated her job before she even started it, we'll get to that. You've got to question someone that doesn't want to be around kids all the time having a child to begin with, and then taking a job at a daycare center to care for that child. That's the actual definition of ALWAYS being around children. The only way she could be around kids more is if she spent her off days at the local park pushing strangers on the swings. It's the equivalent of applying for a job as a nurse despite a fear of blood. Generally speaking there are two types of people in this world. The people that hate kids and the people the love kids. The latter shouldn't be taking jobs that are reserved for the former.
Listen, I don't have a problem with this woman hating her job. I realize she hadn't even started it yet, but percentages say that at some point she would probably hate it anyway. Might have been next week. Might have been two years from now. If this woman was like 95% of the population it was only a matter of time before she grew to hate her day to day routine . Might as well get it out of the way now and not have to hide behind the illusion of happiness. It's almost not even her fault that she got fired. It's society's social media obsession that is at fault. This woman wasn't so unhappy with her job that she felt she had to tell the world. How could she be? She didn't even know what the job entailed yet. She didn't post her Facebook status to get it of her chest, she posted it just to post something. To quench the undying thirst for more comments or retweets. This is where we are in 2015. If you aren't posting anything then there is nothing going on in your life. That's a socially accepted thought process. Her firing is just a necessary evil. It's something that everyone that is over divulgent on social media needs to experience. Some people just need to be taught that the overwhelming majority of their friends or followers don't give a shit about them. This woman getting fired is just an ironic reminder that reality is a cruel, cruel place beyond the world of 'likes' and 'favorites'.
