You know the real shame in the release of this helmet? It's that it's a week late. I have reason to believe that if Colin Kaepernick had this on his head when he remained seated during the National Anthem the entire country would have never been up in arms over how to properly be Patriotic. They would be too busy sitting in solidarity of the wearer of the most American thing to sit atop someone's shoulders since the bald eagle landed on George Washington's signing arm as he was inking his name on the Constitution. Simply put, this piece of protective headwear deserves nationwide recognition and it's own corresponding song (preferably one that doesn't have a third, unspoken verse that alludes to slavery) that's to be played as we acknowledge it's beauty. Never has something so restricting been such an unparalleled symbol of freedom. In my completely unbiased opinion this helmet is not only further proof that Cory Schneider is the best option to start in goal for Team USA, but it's further proof that he's the ONLY option to start in goal for Team USA. I say that not as a fan of the other team featured on the mask in question, but as a tried-and-true, red blooded American hockey fan. Salute...
