I Have To Know How The Clippers "Disciplined" Their Social Media Guy For Subtweeting The Grizzlies11/6/2015
Okay, so it was only yesterday that I said that the person in charge of the Clippers twitter was out of line for subtweeting the Grizzlies. Not because it's offensive to the Grizzlies. Fuck the Grizzlies and their stupid feelings. No one cares about them, and that's kind of the point. The Clippers shouldn't care about teams worse than them, and they better fucking hope that Memphis is one of those teams this year. That's why this reflects so poorly on the organization. Their mindset this season should be that anything less than a championship is a failure. Having the team twitter account bask in the "glory" of a 4 point loss to the defending champs is embarrassing to the team, and needed to be deleted.
With that said, how, prey tell, do you discipline a professional tweeter? Send him home for the day? Delete some of his followers? Make him sit facing the wall without his laptop for a few hours? "No internet for you sonny! Now sit in the corner and think about what you've done!". I feel like all of those are counterproductive to his actual job which is to connect with the fanbase as frequently as possible. I think you have to make him stand on a desk in the middle of the office and get verbally chastised by all his coworkers so he knows how it feels to be unjustly ridiculed. You either have to roast him or you have to fire him. Those are the only ways he's going to learn his lesson. A lesson that undoubtedly goes a little something like this..."sticks and stones may break my bones, but if you are going to use words then at least @ me doe".
