SOLD! Whew, just when you think the NBA has spawned an exciting new rivalry between former teammates the person whose departure was responsible for it puts an end to the speculation with a quick three word answer. Thank God we didn't have to watch Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook let their frustrations with each other play out on the court. Crisis averted. No more questions. You heard the man. They're still cool. I know literally everything that has happened since KD chose Golden State has made it seem like that's FAR from the case, but look how certain he sounded up there in front of that crowd! If I learned anything in my high school public speaking class it's that nothing symbolizes conviction quite like awkwardly fidgeting with your hands as you slump over in your seat as if to shelter yourself from the viewing audience. Pretty sure it's those exact maneuvers that got me bumped up to a 'C'. Apparently it doesn't matter that Kevin Durant didn't even have the courtesy to call a guy he spent spent 8 years playing alongside after making a decision that would have a huge impact on both their professional careers. That unmistakably pointed commercial that Russell Westbrook starred in? A thing of the past. They've almost certainly worked out their issues. I don't know why I even thought otherwise. With someone as outgoing as KD and someone as forgiving as Russell Westbrook they were bound to mend their friendship before they had to play against each other. Yeah..definitely...
